Best CBD Companies 2020 | Guide | CBDNerds

CBD is a booming industry, which means there are a ton of options when it comes to shopping. Although, trying to determine which CBD companies are the best can seem daunting. The reality is every single brand claims to be the best CBD company with the best products. But how do you choose which one you should buy from?   There’s an age-old saying “you get what you pay for” -- organically produced hemp is not the cheapest option, but it’s 100% recommended if you want results. The most efficient CBD oils contain nothing, but pure CBD extract without fillers, pesticides, or unnecessary additives. All CBD enterprises are aware of the non-psychoactive components of CBD and its effects, but most of them fail to remove dangerous chemicals such as Propylene Glycol (PG). Always research the brand and check the ingredients to make sure they are natural. Check out our curated list of the cheapest CBD products to ensure you’re getting the best quality at the best prices. CBDNerds to the Rescue We’re here to give you a breakdown of what to look for before purchasing from a brand. We’ve also reviewed some of the best CBD companies to purchase from online (and in general). This is what you should look for in a CBD Company: Online CBD Customer Reviews If you are in doubt about which CBD oil to purchase, review the brand's products, ingredients, and customer reviews. Start by looking at the company’s website and check other trusted sites to find out their history and if they are reputable. You can find out what other users have to say about the products' benefits through sites like this one. From there you will gain a clearer sense of which CBD oil brand is right for you. Customer Support Check out the company’s website and see if they have customer support available. Typically, companies selling products with good customer service are reputable. CBD companies with the best customer support tend to have options like live chat to help answer any questions or concerns.  Are they GMP certified? Good Manufacturing Practice is a system that ensures products are consistently produced and controlled according to quality standards. This is an important part of the manufacturing of pharmaceutical products, and another way to assure the product has the strength, identity, and purity that appears on its label. Additionally, some CBD companies like Lazarus Naturals, go above and beyond when it comes to quality customer service. Lazarus offers assistance programs for those with low income, veterans, and people with long term disabilities. Seed to Shelf Check to see if the entire production process of the oil is facilitated by the CBD oil company. From cultivation, extraction, to laboratory testing, and sales, CBD companies can be links in the chain of CBD production. Many CBD manufacturers, distributors, and companies buy their plants from other growers or they buy the oil in bulk, repackage it and sell it as their own. This can be dangerous for the consumer because companies can’t guarantee the whole manufacturing process. Organically Grown CBD Industry experts know that purchasing cheap hemp from other countries delivers profit, but lacks quality. When cheap hemp is used, seed strains are unknown, and pesticides are infused, therefore inconsistency in quality is produced. Besides inconsistency, harmful ingredients create unnatural effects. Organically grown CBD uses third-party lab-tested accreditation to confirm great quality. Examples of brands that sell organically grown products include Fab CBD and Nuleaf Naturals. Independent Lab Tests Are the company’s lab analysis reports published online? Good lab analysts look for pesticides and other unsafe chemicals. Users are entitled to know exactly what they are consuming and lab results check for impure organisms such as bacteria, fungus, mold, and heavy metals. Lab test verifiability helps identify impurities and provides transparency. CBD Reviews: From Low THC to Impeccable Brand Ratings Now that you know what to look for, you can choose a CBD brand to try. The following five brands cover all the bases – which is why we recommend them: cbdMD Overview One of the largest CBD companies on the market, cbdMD is committed to providing the highest quality products and this is evident in their award-winning CBD oils and topicals. They maintain high standards throughout the manufacturing process, all hemp is sourced in the USA, THC-free, non-GMO, and vegan. The same level of quality extends through the extraction process, where they use a low temp Co2 extraction method to preserve cannabinoids. Third-party lab testing is also performed to ensure the safety and effectiveness of every batch. The best CBD companies offer a variety of safe, convenient, and reasonably priced products and cbdMD does not disappoint. Offerings include oil tinctures, capsules, topicals, gummies, bath bombs, and a pet line called paw cbd. cbdMD oil tinctures are broad-spectrum, available in doses ranging from 300mg-7500mg, and come in a variety of flavors: natural, berry, orange, and mint. They’re also very cost-effective, prices range from $29.99 for a 300mg (30ml) bottle, up to $339.99 for a 7500mg (30ml) bottle – keep in mind 7500mg is a very high concentration of CBD. If you’re looking to enhance your sleep, their CBD PM for Sleep received the award for best sleep aid of the year 2020 – it was voted number one by consumers. This mint flavored tincture combines CBD, melatonin, and a proprietary blend of herbs (including chamomile and valerian root) to promote relaxation. cbdMD topicals are another fan favorite available in many forms, including lotions, lip balm, body balm, and roll-ons. The CBD Freeze roll-on is available in 4 strengths (ranging from 300mg-3000mg) and combines cooling menthol with CBD to provide soothing pain relief. This roll-on is also an award winner, it was the Consumer Survey of Product Innovation’s 2020 CBD Topical of the Year. Lastly, all cbdMD products are backed with a 60-day guarantee. If you’re not 100% satisfied with your order they offer a full refund upon return of the items. Medterra Overview Medterra is climbing the ranks as one of the best CBD companies because their “true seed to sale products” are made in the United States and contain premium quality CBD. The Southern California-based company was founded by a group of passionate individuals who believed in the benefits of CBD and wanted to make it affordable and accessible to all. All Medterra products are made with industrial hemp that is organically grown in Kentucky and certified by the U.S. Hemp Authority. They use hemp instead of cannabis because the hemp plant contains high levels of CBD but less than 0.3 THC, making it easier to extract CBD that is THC-free. Additionally, all extracts are third-party tested to guarantee they are free of pesticides, contaminates, and THC. If you like a little variety, Medterra offers gel capsules, gummies, topicals, and most notably, an array of tinctures. Their broad-spectrum CBD tincture is rated one of the best THC-Free oils around. It contains additional beneficial cannabinoids (like CBG), and at $59.99 for 1000mg (300ml) the price is competitive. This tincture is also available in three flavors including citrus, strawberry mint, and natural.  The CBD Immune Boost tincture is another great option, it’s designed to support the immune system by combining CBD with echinacea, ashwagandha, vitamin C, and other natural ingredients. However, Medterra’s most popular product is their standard CBD oil tincture. It’s composed of 99% CBD and MCT oil, it’s affordable $34.99 for 500mg (30ml), and is available in 3 strengths (500mg,1000mg,3000mg). Medterra also offers a complete line of CBD products for pets that we highly recommend if you have four-legged friends. Joy Organics Overview Joy Organics believes if you want to be the best CBD company “excellence must be priority at every stage”. The family-owned company, partners with the best growers, manufactures, and distributors to ensure all hemp used in their natural CBD products is of superior quality. The CBD company’s 7-step process starts with organically farmed hemp (grown in the United States), that is then dried and milled into a coarse powder. Next, they use a proprietary extraction method that preserves the hemp’s many benefits while producing oil. The oil is then distilled, refined, and the THC is removed. Each batch is then tested by third-party labs, Joy Organics performs some of the most comprehensive testing in the industry and their lab results are accessible to costumers. The final step is what truly sets Joy Organics apart from other top CBD companies. To increase the bioavailability of their softgels they use a proprietary process that transforms the raw hemp oil into nano-sized emulsions. This boosts its efficiency so you can get the same benefits with a smaller dose of CBD. Their Premium CBD Softgels are a great place to start if you’re new to CBD. The easy-to-swallow gels allow for easy dosing and are available in 10mg or 25mg, starting at just $39.95 (for a bottle of 30). They also offer two additional softgel formulas: one is enriched with melatonin to enhance sleep; the other includes Curcumin to support joint health. Joy Organics offers a variety of other premium CBD products including energy drinks, gummies, tinctures, and of course pet CBD. All orders come with free shipping and a money-back guarantee. Endoca Overview Endoca has a reputation for producing some of the best quality hemp products, which is not surprising considering founder Henry Vincenty’s family has been farming hemp in Denmark for generations. As one of the best international CBD companies, Endoca maintains quality control by testing at each stage of production. Not only does Endoca provide superior quality raw hemp extract, but they also have one of the most extensive product lineups which includes oil tinctures, capsules, creams, salves, balms, and even suppositories. Additionally, all products are organic and GMO-free. Their raw full-spectrum CBD oils are a great option if you are looking for high potency CBD, since the oil is not heated or refined it contains additional omegas, vitamins, and minerals. The 1500mg tincture is priced reasonably at $129, however if you are new to CBD or looking for a lower dose, they also offer a 300mg tincture (at $31). If you suffer from severe symptoms their extracts might be your best option, the paste-like substance comes in a syringe designed to deliver ½ gram or 1-gram doses. It comes in two variations raw hemp oil or regular hemp oil extract; prices range from $199 - $286. The regular version has 2000mg of CBD as well as low concentrations of (CBC, CBG, CBN) and is priced at $199. Endoca is worth trying if you are looking for high-quality full-spectrum CBD options, they are one of the best seed to shelf CBD companies. They also offer worldwide delivery and free shipping on US orders over $74. Charlotte’s Web Overview Charlotte’s Web was created on the premise of bettering the planet and the people who inhabit it. Founded by the Stanley brothers, the family-run business prioritizes the quality, safety, and consistency of their CBD. Additionally, they are one of the most philanthropic CBD companies. When they first started they gave away their CBD extract to those who they thought would benefit. They have since expanded and partnered with many charitable organizations motivated by the belief that they’re here to “improve lives, naturally”. All hemp used is farmed on the Stanley Brothers’ hemp farms in Colorado, so they remain in control of the quality of their products from seed to sale. Charlotte’s Web offers a large array of products including gummies, capsules, topicals, tinctures, CBD for dogs, and CBD isolate.  They also offer discounts if you buy any of their products in bulk. Their CBD oil tinctures are carefully crafted in small batches, because of this the price points are a little on the higher side, but so is the quality. Their “original formula” starter size is 50mg (10ml) for $49.99. They offer a variety of other tinctures ranging in dose and price. If you are a fan of gummies, we highly recommend Charlotte’s Web CBD gummies. They are made with real fruits and veggies and come in three different varieties, each infused with botanicals to support different functions – including sleep, recovery, and calm. Each bottle comes with 60 gummies (5mg each) and is priced reasonably at $44.99. All products come with a 30-day satisfaction guarantee. Receive free shipping on all orders over $74 or subscribe to their auto-ship program for free 2-day shipping. Frequently Asked Questions about CBD Companies How do I choose the right CBD company? The best CBD companies offer transparency about their practices including farming, extraction, and manufacturing. It’s important to choose a company that prioritizes quality ingredients (i.e. organic, non-GMO) and uses extraction methods that preserve the cannabinoids. You also want to make sure they perform 3rd party testing and have lab results readily available to customers. What is the biggest CBD Company? In terms of highest-grossing, Charlotte’s Web is near the top. However, there is a lot to take into consideration in terms of “biggest company”, including company size, product offerings, reach (domestic vs international), and revenue. Are CBD companies legal? In short, yes. The 2018 Farm Bill essentially legalized industrial hemp and related products like hemp extracts and CBD. So while CBD is federally legal, it is regulated by the FDA which has strict guidelines on the way it can be marketed and used. Some states also have their own regulations that companies need to abide by. For example, some states allow it to be bought and sold but not legally produced, creating a gray area.

Buying CBD with Bitcoin? Ledger Wallet Review

If you're shopping for CBD you probably have seen by now that you can get discounts by purchasing with cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin and Etherium. There are are a few reasons CBD companies are doing this, primarily because they've been having problems with payment processing. Every now and then we get asked about where to buy Bitcoin and if it is safe. I bought a Ledger Wallet Nano and a Trezor to store our cryptocurrencies and am happy to share a detailed Ledger Wallet Review below.    At the start of 2018, Tokyo-based cryptocurrency exchange Coincheck announced the loss of a whooping $553 million following hacks on Coincheck’s digital wallets. We all remember the history of the Mt. Gox hack the whopping 740,000 bitcoins stolen. My point is that if you are using Bitcoin or cryptocurrencies and are worried about security, you 100% should invest in a hardware wallet like Ledger.   Ledger Wallet has 2 main products...   Ledger Blue Ledger Blue is the high end personal security device that costs 229.00 € (excluding tax).    Appearance It has a sleek look in the shape of a tablet and has a fully functional touch screen. It is also designed in a lightweight fashion making it easily portable.   Safety features Ledger Blue uses high level encryption to secure the wallet. It also uses a “secure element” based on dual chip architecture to secure your private keys, this is backed by a PIN system. It uses the FIDO two factor authentication processes to secure passwords. The data is further secured using BOLOS technology. This makes for an air tight security system.   Blue tooth functionality Unlike other hardware wallets, the Ledger Blue can connect to Bluetooth and it saves the user the pain of having to deal with cables to transfer data.   Multi Apps It supports many applications using the ledger manager. It also has multi currency acceptance with an array of over 10 compatible cryptocurrencies. This means that you can hold different cryptocurrencies at the same time on this wallet.   Back up services The hardware has in built back up and data recovery features which will save you a lot of headache if you happen to accidentally erase your data.   Most importantly, security of transactions Transaction integrity is secured by the WYSIWYS system (What You See Is What You Sign). Transactions cannot get tampered with.   This wallet is very simple to use, once you get the device you will need to configure your apps and personalize your settings just as you would a normal touch screen tab. You will also be required to set up your passwords and backups. After this, you should be good to go. The hardware wallet should come with a USB cable, a set of instructions and a recovery sheet.   Ledger Nano S This is the hardware wallet recommended for safely storing your cryptocurrencies. Currently, it is retailing at 79.00 € excluding taxes. OLED display This allows you to confirm transactions on the display with a single tap on the physical buttons.   Multi currency acceptance Ledger Nano S supports Bitcoin, Litecoin, Ethereum, Dogecoin, Zcash, Dash, and Stratis. You can hold different assets in the same hardware wallet at the same time.   Designed for multiple Apps This wallet has enhanced security features that allow you to run different apps at the same time without compromising on the master seed.   Data Back up Your accounts are backed up on a recovery sheet.   Security features Nano S has similar security features to Nano blue. Nano S unfortunately lacks the Bluetooth feature and you will have to use a cable to connect to other devices.  It also lacks the touch screen functionality. In the box you will also find a USB cable, accessories, recovery sheet and a set of instructions.   To use it, connect your Nano S to a USB port and the device will turn on. Set up your 8 digit password to protect your account. Set up FIDO authentication on Google, Dropbox e.t.c. You can then confirm transactions with the buttons on the side. You really just follow the onscreen instructions which makes the set up seamless. The Ledger also retails an OTG Kit that contains all the cables and adapters you need to connect your Ledger hardware wallets to your Android phone or laptop. Benefits of Vaping CBD Oil 2020| Guide | CBDNerds

CBD is a cannabis compound that provides exceptional medical advantages without any of the psychoactive highs that are associated with typical marijuana use. You can consume it in a wide range of options, including edibles, tinctures, lotions, and more. But, one of the more popular methods on the market is a vaporizer. This is because vaping CBD oil is one of the fastest ways to feel its effects. Unlike vaping tobacco products, CBD doesn’t come with ill-health effects and in fact, can help with certain conditions. (Something cigarettes cannot do. Suck on that, cigs!) If you’re new to vaping and are wondering how you can use CBD in this method, we’ll sift through the clouds to give everything you need to know.   Vaping CBD Benefits: Feeling Good without the High One of many compounds found within the marijuana plant, CBD (or cannabidiol if you’re fancy) causes the body to react to it in a variety of ways, more or less leading to the same benefits of weed without getting you high. Because most CBD vape oils only contain small traces of THC – the principal psychoactive component of cannabis – you won’t get that “Oh man, I’m sooooo stoned” feeling – and  you can take it any time of day and carry on with your usual tasks.  From the outside, vaping might look like smoking out of an elaborate device, but in reality, there is science behind it. Different materials burn at different rates, and when you vape something, you’re heating it more gently without causing combustion. While this is applicable to marijuana flower and tobacco, vaping CBD concentrates produces a vapor instead of smoke.   The Two Vapes Types There are two main options on today’s market if you want to vape CBD, and while they are both similar in overall function, the details do give users some options. One style is a pen vaporizer that utilizes a heating coil, warming concentrated CBD isolate and allowing you to inhale its medicinal properties. These vape pens might require a little more love and care as the heating coils may need to be replaced every so often. It's important to keep in mind that an inexpensive vape option might seem great up front, but there's usually a reason that the item is so cheap.  Others prefer to use e-liquid in a tank-style device. These come in disposable or refillable designs. Most recommend using a vape that requires concentrates when using CBD, as you’re more likely to receive stronger effects from using less product.   Vaping CBD Benefits: How Does It Work? Why would you purchase a device that billows vapor when you could simply eat a gummy or rub some lotion on your hands? It has to do with how your body absorbs and processes CBD and how efficiently that occurs. For individuals with more serious ailments or those looking to feel the benefits immediately, vaping CBD gets the compound into your bloodstream the fastest.     Other options like edibles or topicals certainly do work, but it takes time for them to absorb into your system and in some instances can mean that you are waiting up to an hour or more before you begin to feel the effects.   CBD Vape Products We Love When it comes to vaping, there are a wide range of options available. We like the vapes listed below because you can use them with CBD oil or marijuana flower.   VaporFi Atom Dry Herb Vaporizer - whether you’re looking to use marijuana with a high THC percentage or you rely on strains that are more of a 1:1 THC to CBD ratio, this vaporizer is a great choice. It’s obviously designed for using herb rather than concentrates or e-liquids, but its sleek design is hard to say no to. Firefly 2 Dry Herb & Concentrates Vaporizer - when you want the best of both worlds and often change up your preferences between flower and concentrates, this product is a win-win. With the option to control the temperature straight from your phone and an easy design that allows you to regulate your dose with each breath, it’s a fan favorite. Vapium Summit Plus Dry Herb Vaporizer - designed to be super durable and ready to go with you anywhere, this vape will fit right in next to your multi-tool. The brand focuses on outdoor use, so whenever you need to vape on the go, this product is ready for the adventure. You can find these at Direct Vapor.  Honey Stick Phantom Squeeze Box Vaporizer - if you don’t love flower and want to stick to concentrates or oils only, this is your go-to item. It has a unique design that integrates a squeeze handle and a variety of temperature gauges so you can get the exact dose you need for fast-acting relief.   Are CBD Vape Oils Safe? Here at CBDNerds, we want to ensure you have all the information when it comes to the cannabis plant and using full-spectrum CBD. Like all things related to health and wellness, there can be risks associated with CBD vaping. While some users may experience extreme withdrawal if they don’t consume a specific amount of CBD each day (similar to a caffeine headache), others don’t have any side-effects at all.   Keep in mind that not every CBD product comes with risks, but it is important to do your homework before buying the cheapest or most readily available option. Or, you can let us do the homework for you and see which vape cartridges and CBD oils we recommend.   In the end, it’s up to each individual user to determine if vaping CBD oil offers the benefits they’re after.   What is the Best CBD Oil for Vaping? With so many CBD vape oils to choose from, we suggest starting with CBD vape juice from the following brands: CBD Living (free shipping and 35% off with our coupon) CBDfx (score 20% off with our discount code) cbdMD (get 25% off and free shipping with our coupon code)

Can CBD Get You High?

One of the most common questions asked and misconceptions about CBD is “does CBD get you high”?   Simply put, you cannot get high from CBD   The reason it’s such a common misconception is that people hear the word hemp or cannabis and immediately put it in the category THC or marijuana which gets you high. Sadly, the cannabis plant has unjustly undergone a lot of negative publicity throughout the years as it’s been illegal on a federal level for publicity reasons pushing its true medical values under the rug. CBD or cannabidiol is a lesser-known compound that has had incredible benefits which you can learn more about below. It is the total opposite of THC and is nothing short of amazing for our health.   More and more states are legalizing cannabis for medical and recreational purposes and as the plant goes mainstream, CBD is getting more popular than it ever was as more and more research comes out. Many users say it helps relieve many different ailments including anxiety, depression, seizures, and epilepsy.   What is CBD? CBD is a cannabinoid, an active ingredient from the cannabis plant that is found in the stems and leaves of the plant. It is the second most abundant cannabinoid found in the hemp/cannabis plant. For clarity, it’s non-psychoactive and doesn’t get you high. It is inert and will not produce any euphoric experiences or sensations. To learn more about what CBD is you can check out our beginner's guide to CBD.    Let's Take a Closer Look at THC and CBD Both hemp and marijuana have THC and CBD.  THC is what is responsible for the psychological effects people get when they are “high”. Marijuana can contain anywhere from 5-30% of the THC content. It has a high THC and a low CBD value. On the other side of the spectrum, its cousin the Hemp plant only has a .03% THC content. It is virtually impossible to get any psychoactive effect from a .03% THC level. In addition, hemp has a high content of CBD which acts to minimize the effects of THC. THC and CBD offset each other in a natural balance, making it one of the safest intoxicating highs on the planet.   Why Can't CBD Get You High? Unlike THC, CBD does not activate the CB1 receptor in the brain, the critical target that produces the psychoactive effects of feeling “high”. In fact, it's just the opposite. There is evidence that actually suggests CBD interferes with THC when it is trying to reach the CB1 receptor, causing a more balanced and nuanced high with lower chances of paranoia.     CBD From Hemp and CBD From Cannabis   You can extract CBD from either the cannabis plant or hemp plant. Although there is not much research done on this new hot topic, the general consensus tends to be that the CBD derived from cannabis is both more potent and effective since there’s more THC content. Hemp CBD is taken from the hemp leaves, and marijuana CBD is taken from the flowers. It is said that a greater concentration of cannabinoids exists in the marijuana buds.   Benefits of CBD CBD, also, known as cannabidiol, has a key that unlocks many medical and therapeutic benefits for the body. It can revolutionize modern conventional medicine to offer an alternative, safer, and more effective method of treating illnesses while minimizing the harmful side effects traditional medicine can have.   It’s almost as though our bodies are hard-wired for CBD. We have a network of neurons called the endocannabinoid system which runs through our entire body touching all our major systems. It is loaded with receptors that love to bind to CBD as it enters the bloodstream. The reactions that occur by the bonding of the CBD to the receptors are what creates the magic in CBD's health benefits.   Researchers have found that CBD actually protects cells from degenerative diseases. Its neuroprotective effect is one of the plants most promising aspects. The below bullet points are not medical claims so we always recommend consulting with a physician before using CBD medicinally.   It can be used as an analgesic. I keep a CBD lotion on my shelf right next to my band-aids. It has anti-inflammatory properties It has anti-anxiety and anti-depression properties Reduces the risk of diabetes Help keep seizures under control Fights cancer (not a medical claim) It works great for the skin to reduce fine wrinkles CBD can treat neurological diseases including Alzheimer’s Multiple Sclerosis and Parkinson’s   Where To Buy CBD Oil And Choosing The Right Brand To Purchase From? Now that we are all clear that CBD does not get you high, let’s go over some ways to get CBD in your system. It’s a great supplement to add to your wellness routine. When choosing the best CBD Oils, make sure to vet the brands. Research CBD reviews to see what brands are recommended by actual users and make sure     CBD oils are the most popular CBD products. Some things to remember about CBD oil is that it can come from hemp or marijuana and can vary in quality. Be diligent about reading your labels and finding out where they are sourced. Make sure the brands are 3rd party lab tested for safety. In addition, remember that hemp oil is not the same thing as CBD oil, despite its relationship, hemp oil is sourced from the seeds and contains no CBD.   CBD oils are taken directly from the plant. Beauty products are gaining publicity. You can find many moisturizers, shampoos, cleansers and deodorants infused with CBD extracts. CBD Vaporizers. People are vaping CBD. The health behind vaping is under scrutiny, but the health benefits of the CBD are still there. Edibles! You can find CBD infused in many forms of food and drink. Even gummy bears and brownies.   Now that you know CBD cannot get you high, you are safe to explore its usage. It can actually benefit you more than most normal plants being grown on our planet. It would be ideal find ways to incorporate CBD into your life.   References: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Legal_history_of_cannabis_in_the_United_States

[2020] 10 Best CBD Pain Relief Rubs, Salves, And Creams

The National Institutes of Health reports that cannabidiol (CBD) has excellent pain relief qualities and notes that topical CBD solutions are an effective and safe way to control neuropathic pain. CBD is also an effective painkiller for people who have not found relief from traditional painkillers or treatments.   CBD is a compound found in cannabis that has many health benefits without any psychoactive effects. In other words, it will not get you high, but it will help you feel good because it has anti-inflammatory qualities and can provide ample pain relief without the danger associated with other painkillers.   CBD is just one of 85 chemical substances in the cannabis plant known as cannabinoids, and CBD pain relief creams are an excellent way to relieve pain while simultaneously nourishing your skin. The benefits of CBD range from having anti-inflammatory properties to helping find optimal homeostasis.   Those with chronic pain can benefit from CBD pain relief creams because they can be applied directly to the source of the pain and the cream is quickly absorbed by the skin. CBD pain relief creams provide instant relief without any psychoactive effects. Unlike other pain relief methods, CBD pain relief creams are safe and can be applied repeatedly as needed. CBDol is a full-spectrum salve that contains all necessary cannabinoids to get the full benefits of CBD. This full-spectrum hemp is popular for arthritis pain.   In terms of a CBD pain relief cream, CBDistillery was close to being my favorite except for a slightly off smell I didn't like and the container is smaller than the others. As far as running on and relief, this was probably the best product I tried. It is slightly priced higher than the Endoca Salve but if you decide on this one you won't be disappointed. The rub-on is very smooth and not too oily like Receptra.    Price: Normally $60 but currently on sale for $50. Potency: 500 mg for 1 ounce. This would actually make a great massage oil. It did slightly help with my muscle pain but wasn't as strong as the other options. It does come in a larger case so lasts longer but on the downside has less CBD than the above pain relief creams I've tested.    Price: $59 but currently on sale for $47. Save $29 if you buy 2 or $54 if you buy 3. Potency: 125 mg for 4 ounces. Ingredients: Blue mallee eucalyptus oil, calendula flower extract, candelilla wax, CBD hemp oil, copaiba oil, grapeseed oil, lemon peel oil, nerolidol, organic rosemary leaf extract, organic sunflower seed oil, wintergreen oil, virgin andiroba oil, and virgin ucuuba butter.   10) Sagely Naturals Hemp Relief Cream   10% Off Sagely Naturals Coupon Sagely Relief & Recovery Cream is a CBD pain relief cream that combines peppermint, menthol, and safflower seed oil with organic hemp oil. Sagely is based in Santa Monica, California and only uses use organic, non-GMO grown hemp. They also test each batch 3 times and is free from artificial colors, dyes, parabens, synthetic fragrances, and sulfates.   When testing this CBD pain relief rub it was probably the most effective on this list but doesn't make the top because of its additional ingredients. It does have that icy hot sensation which can be pretty intense. It's likely the best option if you have a muscle injury that's severe.   Price: $19.99 for a 2-ounce bottle. $35.99 for a 4-ounce bottle. Potency: 25 mg in the 2-ounce bottle and 50 mg in the 4-ounce bottle. Ingredients: Cannabidiol, Caprylic/capric triglyceride, cetyl alcohol, Cetearyl Glucoside, Cetearyl alcohol glycerin, marula oil, tetradecane, menthol, organic hemp seed oil, argan oil, safflower seed oil, xanthan gum, stearic acid, ethyl hexyl glycerin, Phenoxyethanol, peppermint oil, and water.     How To Use CBD Creams And Pain Relief Rubs   All of the products above will have instructions based on whether it's a topical cream or salve. To begin, you'll want to store these away from heat, light, and humidity. For usage, apply to the affected area, not more than 3 to 4 times daily. Rub in thoroughly until the cream is absorbed. If you're newer to CBD try smaller doses to start and gradually move your way up.

What Is CBN?

Cannabinol which is commonly referred to as CBN is what results after tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) is broken down when it’s exposed to optimum UV light, oxygen or even heat. It’s less likely to get you high than cannabis but it’s for medicinal purposes. There are more than 100 cannabinoids and each is used to achieve certain results.   CBN is present in flowers in only small quantities. If you’re looking for something to give you more CBN, you should opt for something that’s been exposed to UV rays and Oxygen for prolonged periods of time. In light of this, CBN hasn’t been used in past years. It’s only recently that people have discovered the benefits it packs especially to people who are sensitive to THC. CBN is being infused with edibles, capsules, CBN oil, and even capsules.    What are the benefits of CBN  This is an area that’s still under investigation and we’re more likely to see more benefits in the future when scientists release their findings. Some of the potential benefits realized from CBN are:   Relief from pain CBN oil is commonly used for sleep Contains anti-inflammatory properties Used as an antibacterial Anti-convulsion Appetite booster Promotes growth of bones Reduces vomiting and nausea Prevents the growth of cancer cells   CBN is a cannabinoid which are the components in cannabis that's used for medicinal and therapeutic purposes. CBN is different from many cannabinoids which are present in large amounts in the flowers of the cannabis plant. CBN is obtained from the breakdown of tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) which is the compound that's responsible for getting users of cannabis "high". CBN is as a result of aging THC. The older a plant is, the higher the amount of CBN, it will contain. As a result of high levels of CBN, you'll experience a more sedative and relaxing effect.   The effect CBN has on cell receptors is less than what THC would exhibit. CBN is among other cannabinoids that have the ability to hinder the growth of cancer cells. The specific lung tumor it was shown to control in a study conducted in 2006 is Lewis carcinoma.   CBN is obtained as THC ages. If you want to get more CBN from your cannabis plant, let it age as much as possible. Don’t harvest your plant until it’s completely dry from exposure to the sun for prolonged periods of time. For THC to be broken down into CBN, the following factors must be present: Light. Oxygen. Heat. Age.     Where To Buy CBN Oil CBN products are typically sold by companies that sell CBD oil. As mentioned earlier, CBN is already being infused with edibles, capsules, CBN oil, and patches. If We’re likely to experience growth in the use of CBN whether for recreational or medicinal uses. If you're looking for CBN for sleep you can try higher-content products sold by Thoughtclould CBD, which deliver CBN products right at your doorstep. Other brands like Endoca offer CBN in their CBD oil tinctures at lower dosages.    As an alternative to buying CBN oil, you can opt to grow your own cannabis plant and that way you can determine the levels of CBN you want. You can control the length of your harvest to manipulate the content of CBN from your cannabis plant. You can also get cannabis plants from your local farmer who’ll advise you on the dosage you should take and other viable alternatives that exist.

There are many other great places to buy CBD products other than the list above. What you see in the guide above is a reflection of CBD prices based on the cheaper CBD oil these brands sell. We highly advise you to:   Do your own research when deciding where to buy CBD oil  Learn what cannabinoids are and how they work.   Research the potential benefits of CBD.   See if hemp-derived or cannabis-derived CBD is best for you.   Be aware of brands that have "medical claims." The FDA has not approved of any of these claims and these brands violate FDA guidelines.   Pick Brands That Have A Strong Reputation The list above is a great starting point on buying CBD oil from companies with 3rd party lab tests and an overall strong reputation.   Be sure to not buy CBD from brands that sell products with very little CBD in them as this is a sign they're selling you different ingredients (potentially harmful) for high prices. An example could be a CBD topical with only 50mg (most brands sell 400mg+) and charge you $30. Don't be afraid to reach out to companies with questions and get a feel for their customer support.    Another recommendation is to see where the Hemp is grown. If the Hemp is grown outside of the United States there's a possibility that there are contaminants or other toxins that are unaccounted or unregulated. Most top brands grow their hemp in Colorado.    Verify The Quality Of Your CBD  Check for CBD reviews online and see what other's say.   Make sure the company that manufactures CBD oil takes necessary safety precautions and is GMP Certified.   Another thing to consider is the production method of the CBD oil you buy. The Supercritical C02 method of extraction ensures you the highest quality and cleanest CBD oil. Other methods to consider are CBD Isolate and Solvent Extraction.    Frequently Asked Questions What is the Safest Cheapest CBD Oil? We made sure all of the CBD oils mentioned on our list are safe to consume. We can confirm this through the third-party lab results each company offers which tests for contaminants such as heavy metals or pesticides.   Where is the Cheapest Place to Buy CBD Oil Online? There are a number of places to purchase cheap CBD oil online. However, since this industry is currently unregulated, you’ll want to be cautious. One way to ensure a company only produces high-quality CBD oil is to check for a certificate of analysis.   Who Has the Cheapest CBD Oil? Lazarus Naturals and ThoughtCloud have the cheapest CBD oils.

The Difference Between Hemp and Marijuana | CBDNerds 2020

The difference between hemp and marijuana may seem minor, but this technicality has been the driving force that restricts the production of both varieties of cannabis in the United States. Hemp and marijuana are variations of the same plant species, Cannabis Sativa. Apart from that similarity, hemp and marijuana are cultivated and used in entirely different ways.   The History: Difference Between Marijuana and Hemp Hemp has been used in ancient cultures dating back as far as 8,000 BCE. Used to make rope, fabric, and ceramics, hemp proved to be a versatile raw material for a multitude of uses. Eventually, extracted forms of the plant were developed into hashish for its intoxicating properties.  Although they belong to the same species of plant, there is a difference between marijuana and hemp, mainly how they are used: hemp for commercial use, marijuana for medical and recreational uses. Here’s a quick run-down of laws regarding hemp vs marijuana.  1937: Marijuana Tax Act places a tax on all marijuana sales, including hemp products. 1970: Controlled Substances Act designates all cannabis species as Schedule I Drugs. 2014: President Obama signed the Farm Bill to begin a pilot research program on hemp. 2018: The Agriculture Improvement Act or 2018 Farm Bill is passed, making hemp agriculture and products legal in all 50 states. What is are the Main Differences Between Hemp and Marijuana? Generally, marijuana is used for the potent therapeutic effects it derives from its chemical compounds known as cannabinoids, like THC. Hemp, on the other hand, is used for thousands of industrial purposes favored for its sustainability and versatility in use. Hemp products available for purchase include:  Protein powder Oil Seed Soap Clothing   Hemp and Commercial Use Hemp has thin leaves that rise to the top of the long stalk. Since they are cultivated for industrial use, hemp tends to grow closer together than marijuana plants (which need room to grow short and bushy). From its seeds to its stalk, hemp has been used in a variety of products. Seeds can be hulled to produce powders and milk, or cold-pressed to be made into oils and paints. A thick outer layer called the bast fiber is a famously durable and renewable product that is used to make construction materials and apparel.  The inner layer, called the hurd, is a soft and wooden stem that is plentiful in cellulose, a plant fiber that is used to create industrial raw materials. Its acoustic and thermal characteristics can be made into biodegradable paper, concrete, and plastic. Marijuana Plant and Medicinal use Marijuana plants have broad leaves and flower buds that are covered in sticky, resinous trichomes. They may only look like white hairs, but these glands contain cannabinoids and terpenes that give a marijuana strain its unique aroma and effects. There are many different strains of marijuana, like cannabis indica or sativa. Plus, the effects and THC content can vary by strain. Medical marijuana plants are primarily grown to produce a high concentration of cannabinoids which create psychoactive and therapeutic results. Products like cannabis oil (and CBD) are extracted from the marijuana plant and can provide several benefits including relief from pain. Smoking Hemp Won’t Get You High A major difference between hemp and marijuana is that the former contains very small amounts of the chemical compound, tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), which is responsible for the cerebral and hallucinogenic effects. Instead, hemp contains a high concentration of cannabidiol (CBD) a chemical compound that complements THC by tempering its psychoactive effects rendering it inactive. Marijuana, on the other hand, has been specifically bred for higher amounts of THC, up to 35 percent in some flower strains. That means that smoking or consuming hemp products alone can’t get you high. Hemp’s high CBD content has shown to provide similar anti-inflammatory, analgesic, and anti-anxiety effects to THC, without the mind buzz.  How is Hemp vs Marijuana Cultivated? Grown closely packed together, as far as four inches apart from each other, hemp takes over acre upon acre of farmland. Hemp is a resilient plant that can grow in multiple climates and environments. A fully mature hemp plant that’s ready for production can take well over 100 days to grow.  Marijuana is a much more finicky plant requiring moderate and warm climates. Flowering times can range between 60 and 90 days depending on strain and growing conditions. Cannabis plants require enough space to fan out their leaves to grow flower buds. Plants can be grown up to six feet apart and away from hemp, which can pollinate and ruin a marijuana crop. The Chemicals in Hemp and Marijuana The most widely recognized chemical compound found in marijuana is tetrahydrocannabinol, or THC for short. THC is a cannabinoid chemical compound that produces psychoactive effects that can improve your mood, reduce pain, and relieve inflammation. Cannabis flower strains can have anywhere between five to 30 percent THC, and beyond. Hemp products, however, have less than 0.3 percent THC but are rich in cannabidiol (CBD). Consuming these small amounts of THC does not produce cerebral effects like THC. The high concentration of CBD can indirectly promote homeostasis, or balance, in bodily functions that regulate appetite, sleep, mood, and movement. Many medical users are consuming marijuana and/or hemp products to reap their suspected anti-inflammatory, pain-relieving, and anti-anxiety properties. Many CBD products, however, aren’t regulated for quality or chemical content, so you must be wary when purchasing CBD oil online. Marijuana Sativa vs. Indica Strains In the 18th century, plant classifications divided marijuana into two species: sativa and indica. Sativas were found in Eastern Europe, grew tall, had loosely spaced branched, and long, thin leaves. This modern-variety of hemp was used for commercial and non-hallucinogenic effects.  Cannabis indica strains came from India and were bred not just for industrial use, but also to produce hashish. In recent years, crossbreeding these variations in cannabis has developed strains with potent effects. Today, sativa and indica categories provide a rough classification of strains that have energetic or sedative benefits, respectively.   FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS 1. How do I tell the difference between hemp and marijuana? At first glance, hemp and marijuana can be pretty indistinguishable from each other. However, a deeper look at their composition shows some significant differences. Marijuana has thick, broad leaves with tight buds that are usually covered in sticky resinous trichomes. The trichomes look like tiny white, orange, red, or brown hairs depending on the strain.  Hemp is taller and has skinnier leaves that usually grow near the top of the plant. You will know the difference between hemp and marijuana immediately upon consumption because marijuana will get you high, but hemp will not. 2. What is the difference between hemp oil and medical marijuana? Hemp oil is extracted from hemp seeds and is full of omega-3 and omega-6 essential fatty acids which are beneficial for skin health. It is different from CBD (or full-spectrum hemp oil) which is made of whole plant extract and has many benefits including reducing anxiety or inflammation. Hemp oil and CBD are regulated by the food and drug administration. Medical marijuana comes from the Marijuana plant and is also loaded with cannabinoids (or CBD), as well as THC. In addition to the beneficial features of CBD, THC can be used to reduce nausea, increase appetite, and reduce pain or muscle control problems. There is also ongoing research that shows medical marijuana might even slow the growth of cancer cells. However, it is not yet an FDA approved plant medicine, so legality varies from state to state. 3. Are Hemp and Marijuana Legal? With all the confusion surrounding the legality of cannabis and hemp, consumers are left scrambling for high-quality products. States have passed legislation to allow farmers to grow hemp and produce hemp goods. Still, the clashing state and federal laws put farmers in the U.S. in a tough legal position as hemp production is currently monitored by the food and drug administration. For this reason, a lot of raw hemp and other products are imported. While cannabis is still illegal under federal law, medical and recreational patients have been able to buy cannabis and hemp-derived CBD freely at brick and mortar shops or online. Although the CBD industry is booming, not all sources offer the same quality hemp product. One must do diligent research before choosing a trusted source and product. In its natural growing environment, hemp is effective at absorbing soil contaminants like microorganisms and heavy metals. Independent third-party lab testing ensures you are purchasing a pure product.

How to Extract CBD Oil | Guide | CBDNerds 2020

You may be wondering how to extract CBD oil from either cannabis or hemp plants since most companies that sell CBD products mention their extraction methods. Moreover, you may be curious about the solvent extraction or the difference between things like supercritical CO2 extraction and ethanol extraction. Science! To begin, there are seemingly endless solvents you can use to extract cannabinoids (such as CBD) from cannabis, including:   Ethanol Carbon Dioxide (CO2) Propane Isopropanol Pentane Naphtha Hexane Butane Ether However, the three most common are CO2, ethanol, and butane. These are the three methods almost all CBD manufacturers use. Let's take a deeper dive into how this is done.   Extracting CBD with Carbon Dioxide (CO2)   How to extract CBD oil with Carbon Dioxide (CO2) CO2 extraction is one of the most popular methods used because it’s efficient, considered non-toxic, and produces a relatively pure CBD oil.  There are typically three categories of CO2 extraction: supercritical subcritical mid-critical These categories relate to the temperature of heat used during extraction, with supercritical being the highest. A simple rule of thumb – the higher the temperature the higher the yield, however, high temps are also known to cause damage to terpenes. Pros: Very clean, usually no residual solvent left in the end product A large amount of material can be processed at one time CO2 can be recycled through a closed-loop system Yields pure CBD oil   Cons: Significant loss of terpenes often occurs Substantial financial investment required for the equipment Special training required to operate the extractor Extract usually needs to be winterized to remove pigments, waxes, etc. Negative effects on the atmosphere when releasing CO2 from the machine Possibility of suffocation if not properly operated/ventilated CO2 extracts are not water-soluble and have limited bioavailability Product can be less-potent than others   How to Extract CBD oil from Hemp with Butane Extracting CBD with Butane is another common way to create what is known as butane hash oil. Butane typically results in a stronger oil than say ethanol but there is the potential of solvents that can hurt the lungs. This form of extraction falls under the category of "solvent extraction forms".    Pros: Very effective at exclusively extracting cannabinoids and terpenes Usually creates a more potent end-product   Cons: Highly explosive, can explode at as little as 2% concentration in the air Not environmentally-friendly as it is a petroleum product Not uncommon for residual butane to end up in the extract   The Extraction Process with Ethanol Ethanol is another of the most commonly used substances in the solvent extraction method. Ethanol is used to extract all the cannabinoids and terpenes from the plant and enhance the potential of the entourage effect.    Pros: Maintains the original chemical balance found in the plant Creates a truly full-spectrum extract When an organic acid (such as CBDa or THCa) combines with ethanol, it creates an organic ester; water-soluble and highly bioavailable   Cons: Extremely time and labor-intensive Extracts water-soluble compounds like chlorophyll Difficult to perform on anything more than small amounts of material Expensive due to the cost of high-quality ethanol and labor   Solvents: Polar vs. Non-Polar People often say that opinions are like armpits - everybody has them (and they stink!). The internet is rife with conflicting views on which extraction method is superior. The simple truth – it’s all relative. What’s important is that you determine what you want (CBD isolate, full-spectrum, etc.) before deciding how to extract CBD oil. For instance, if you are looking for a CBD rich oil that includes terpenes and other plant matter you may opt for ethanol extraction. While non-polar solvents like butane almost exclusively extract the non-polar components of cannabis (cannabinoids, terpenes), many believe the other parts of the cannabis plant have equal health benefits. The entire argument of full-spectrum extracts revolves around the idea of the entourage effect. You can most easily understand the entourage effect as what happens when you ingest “whole-plant” CBD, by including all the compounds of the plant, the benefits and therapeutic effect that CBD has on the body is enhanced.   How to Extract CBD Oil: What’s the Best Way? Since ethanol is both polar and non-polar, it is the only solvent with the ability to extract all of the carboxylic acids, polysaccharides, medicinal oils, and all other beneficial compounds from cannabis. Another massive advantage of ethanol extraction is the formation of organic esters - the result of an organic acid (think THCa and CBDa) meeting ethanol. Esters are more water-soluble and therefore highly bioavailable. Bioavailability is a big deal when it comes to cannabis extracts and supplements in general. The human body is mostly water, and it only makes sense that a water-soluble extract would result in enhanced efficacy. The problem? Ethanol extraction takes longer, costs more money, and can’t process nearly as much plant material as something like CO2 extraction. Considering most people are in this industry to make money, well, you do the math.  At the end of the day, choosing the best extraction method really comes down to which results you are desiring from CBD oil. It’s always good to determine if you want a broad spectrum, full-spectrum, or isolate, then research companies and their extraction methods to choose the best CBD product you. Now that you know how to extract CBD, we suggest trying a company like cbdMD, which uses the CO2 method and produces excellent products.   FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS What is the best CBD extraction method? The best CBD extraction method ultimately depends on the desired outcome. Many would claim CO2 extraction is the most efficient and yields some of the purest high-quality CBD oil, which is true if you are looking for a CBD isolate. However, if you are interested in full-spectrum CBD oils, which offer a full range of cannabinoids and terpenes, ethanol solvent extraction is often the method used.   Can I extract CBD oil at home? Yes, there are a few different ways to extract CBD oil from cannabis in your very own kitchen. One simple method requires a slow cooker, CBD-rich (low or no THC) cannabis flowers, and a carrier oil (like coconut oil). Allow the ingredients to infuse over low heat during a 24hr period, then just strain the oil using a cheesecloth (to separate the plant material and oil). Voila! You have a batch of DIY CBD oil.

How to Give a Dog CBD Oil | Guide | CBDNerds 2020

If you’re wondering how to give a dog CBD oil, rest assured you are not alone. Pet owners everywhere are curious about the benefits of CBD and the best ways to administer it. You may know by now that CBD may be a safe and healthy alternative to treat pets with anxiety or arthritis. CBD is a cannabinoid found in cannabis sativa and cannabis indica. It does not possess any psychoactive reaction because it doesn't contain any THC. The non-psychoactive properties found in CBD are extracted from the hemp plant and not cannabis. CBD Pet Benefits If your pet suffers from anxiety or arthritis, CBD may soothe them and help them stay relaxed and calm. Dogs are over-vigilant when there is any new stress brought into their home. Moreover, dogs are generally overprotective animals, and these stressors will heighten their anxiety. Older pets have a higher risk of developing certain cancers or arthritis. If you have a particular breed that is more susceptible to health problems, you may be able to prevent symptoms or at least ease them by using organic CBD.  If you're considering giving your pet CBD, here are some tips on how to administer it safely:   1. Start Slow Always begin with a low dose of CBD and monitor how your dog reacts to it. Follow the dosage instructions on the label as they can vary depending on the product, but they will be specific on how to give dogs CBD oil. Manufacturers recommend that your pet starts with 1 milligram of CBD per 10 pounds of animal weight. Once you see how your dog reacts to the dosage, you can increase it as needed.  2. Use CBD Oil CBD oil is convenient and is easily mixed in food or given straight. The oil absorbs into the body through the liver and produces long-lasting effects. It is never advised to give your pet cannabis in smoke form. CBD oil will work in wet or dry food, but wet is preferred because it mixes well, and if it has a taste, your dog won't notice. The oil is also wholly absorbed into the food so you can rest assured your dog is getting the full dose. CBD oil can be given twice a day in their food or mixed in their water. The problem with mixing it in water is that dogs usually don't drink all of their water in one sitting. If that's the case, your pet will not have received the full dose. If you're using CBD to treat a dog with cancer, the water method is not recommended since it’s imperative that the complete dosage instructions are followed. To guarantee your pet is getting the right amount of CBD you can also administer it on top of their favorite treats. Just be sure to use a porous treat so the oil can fully absorb, dog biscuits are a great option. 3. Go Organic If your dog is suffering from an ailment, exposing them to harmful pesticides will be detrimental to their health. Look for products that are organically sourced and contain no additives or preservatives. You also want to make sure the oil is lab-tested to ensure it is high-quality, uses food-grade ingredients, and is free of contaminants. We recommend trying Holistapet. 4. Administer CBD Directly in The Mouth Administering orally will ensure your dog is getting the full recommended dose of CBD. This process is the quickest and most effective method, especially if you are looking to reduce anxiety. Most CBD for dogs is available in flavors that cater to their pallet. However, if you have a dog who won't cooperate or stay still long enough, dropping the oil in his food or treats is probably the best option.  5. Do Your Research The search for the right CBD product for your pet must be done the same way as you would for yourself. Start with a reputable brand like CBDfx. Stick with products that use clean extraction methods or professional ethanol extraction. Try to choose CBD from high-resin plants instead of low-grade industrial CBD isolates. It’s also a good rule of thumb to read reviews and comments on the CBD product that you’re considering using. Pet owners will often share their own experience and tips on how to give a dog CBD oil. 6. Talk to Your Veterinarian You should always consult your vet before introducing any new product into your pet's diet. Many vets are on board with using CBD for pet health and are aware of its benefits. Your veterinarian may even have additional pointers on how to give your dog CBD oil and alert you to any side effects since they are familiar with your pet’s medical history.  7. Try CBD-Infused Dog Treats Our final tip on how to give a dog CBD oil? You guessed it, treats! CBD treats are a wonderful option if you are unsuccessful at sneaking the CBD oil into your dog’s food or administering it directly into their mouth. You can make your own treats by adding CBD oil directly to the recipe, often with ingredients like pumpkin, oats, or peanut butter (make sure it’s xylitol-free). However, be aware baking treats at high temperatures may cause the oil to evaporate (if not done properly), so it’s better with treats that can be baked at low temperatures, or raw treats.   FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS How often should I give my dog CBD oil? How frequently you give your furry friend CBD will depend on a few factors: the ailment you are treating, the size of your dog, and the dosage you are administering. Generally, it is best to start with a small dose once a day, and incrementally increase the dose over time. However, if your dog suffers from pain or related ailments, CBD can be administered every 8 hours or as needed.   How should I feed my dog CBD oil? Administering CBD directly into your dog’s mouth is probably the most beneficial method (if your dog will allow it). If not, there are plenty of alternative options. The oil can be easily disguised in their food or on top of their favorite dog treats as long as your dog consumes the full dose. If you are still struggling, there are plenty of CBD-infused treats that might be worth a try.   Can I give my dog the same CBD oil that I use? We recommend using pet-specific CBD oil for dogs since human-grade CBD is often more potent than the dosage recommended for dogs. Additionally, some CBD oil tinctures are flavored using ingredients that are fine for humans but might cause unwanted side effects in your pet.

How to Consume CBD Oil | Guide | CBDNerds 2020

How to Consume CBD Oil: A Fun Guide to Cannabidiol With the endless mountains of research now available to the public securing cannabidiol's (CBD’s) place in the medical community as a safe and effective medicinal substance for countless ailments (that were before thought untreatable) there has been an explosion in a variety regarding CBD products and overall hemp production. While this can be somewhat overwhelming for someone who is new to CBD, we are here to break down the most common and fun ways to take CBD.   Since there are a number of different ways to take CBD, we also took the time to explain how to consume CBD oil. While it isn't too difficult a process, there are a few things you'll want to keep in mind in order to make the most of your CBD experience. Not to mention, understanding the differences between these CBD products is key as cannabidiol has a variety of potential health benefits through different applications.   CBD Edibles (Gummies, Cookies, Infused Oils, Tinctures) CBD-infused edibles are a wonderful option for several reasons, namely their ability to be discreet, and long duration of effects - and often wonderful taste (depending on the product). CBD edibles are not much different from ‘magic brownies’ that many of us may remember from our youth.   CBD is extracted from the cannabis/hemp plant, infused with a carrier oil (such as coconut oil, olive oil, ghee, or butter) and then formulated into a candy, cookie, or something similar. One of the most popular CBD edibles being CBD gummies.   Alternatively, some vendors may simply sell the infused oils themselves, for purposes like cooking or massaging. You can use an infused oil to make an entire meal rich in CBD, or coat your entire body in it and let it soak in through your skin - sort of like an Epsom salt bath, but with CBD instead of magnesium.   The most common edible form of CBD is probably the tincture, which is usually applied sublingually to allow the CBD to absorb through the capillaries under the tongue.   Just as with recreational cannabis edibles, consuming CBD edibles take 30 to 60 minutes to take effect, and benefits can last upwards of four to six hours - depending on the strength. Edibles are great to take on trips, or to work, where discretion is an absolute must, and ingesting a cannabis product may draw unwanted attention.   How to Consume CBD Oil Consuming CBD oil is fairly simple - you just place a dropper under your tongue and squirt the oil into your mouth. In order to gain the most bioavailability of CBD, we highly suggest you let it sit under your tongue for 30 to 45 seconds before swallowing. This is especially true for full-spectrum CBD oils rather than CBD isolate tinctures.   While it may take anywhere between 30 to 60 minutes before the CBD kicks in, this method of consumption tends to work a bit quicker. Many users report feeling the effects of a CBD oil within 5 to 15 minutes.   CBD Wax, Vapes, E-Juice Inhaling CBD perhaps the most universally recognized route of administration for cannabis products. Thousands of years ago, the Assyrians referred to cannabis as ‘qunubu’ which translates as ‘way to produce smoke,’ and is possibly the origin of the word cannabis. Inhalables come in several different forms, with the most obvious being cannabis itself (sometimes referred to as CBD flower) burned in some smoking device, such as a pipe or ‘bong.’   Many experts believe that up until the recent century, high-CBD cannabis was the norm - and over time, growers bred cannabis to have high levels of the intoxicating THC instead.   Nowadays, we see a reversal (although the vast majority of cannabis is still grown for high THC levels) to growing unique cultivars of marijuana that are high in CBD and other cannabinoids (CBG, CBN, CBDa, CBDv, THCa, etc.) thought to have low psychoactivity and high medical value.   Charlotte’s Web is perhaps the most noteworthy cultivar of high-CBD cannabis currently in production, although there are many others such as Harle-Tsu, Ringo’s Gift, Sweet and Sour Widow, Harlequin, Canna-Tsu, ACDC, Pennywise, and Cannatonic. Smoking these strains will usually result in minimal to no psychoactive effects or ‘high’ while offering reliable and effective relief from many chronic illnesses.   There is no particular method to smoking high-CBD cannabis; it is burned in the same way as medical/recreational marijuana. You can roll it in a cigarillo paper with the tobacco removed (often referred to as a ‘blunt’), put it in rolling papers (joint), or in any one-hitter, pipe, water-pipe (bong), steamroller, or similar device.   Vaping CBD Vaping CBD products has become incredibly popular, as it is often thought to have a much lower impact on the lungs - as the material is not undergoing full combustion, but merely being heated enough to vaporize the active compounds in your wax, E-juice, or similar CBD cannabis concentrate.   Wax is a familiar product to most who use medical/recreational marijuana and is created using some solvent passed over cannabis buds to extract all of the cannabinoids from the plant material. What is left at the end of this process looks not all that different from earwax - hence the name. CBD Wax can have cannabinoid levels over 90% for the most potent and well-made products, although it is essential to make sure whatever you purchase has been laboratory tested for common contaminants like pesticides, heavy metals, and especially residual solvents.   While the process of creating wax concentrates the cannabinoids and leaves behind chlorophyll and other parts of the plant that are unwanted/not active, toxins that are soluble in the maker’s solvent of choice can also become concentrated in the end product. Ask for Certificates of Analysis before making a purchase. Wax is generally sprinkled over cannabis buds to potentiate the product, or smoked by itself either with a glass nail and a torch or even via a technique known as hot knifing for the low-budget CBD connoisseur.   E-Juice is the name for a liquid (usually with a base of vegetable glycerin or propylene glycol) infused with CBD (and sometimes other cannabinoids as well) and terpenes or natural flavors. If you vape CBD regularly, it's in your best interest to find a pen that can take CBD e-juices. Vaporizers come in all shapes and sizes, but the general idea is an electronic box with a heating element attached to a refillable cartridge.   The E-Juice goes into the refillable cartridge, the user presses and holds a button while putting the device up to their mouth, and inhales, drawing in a plume of misty vapor filled with active CBD. E-Juice is often filled with nicotine for electronic cigarette users, and this is more or less the same thing - only there’s no nicotine, just CBD.   Inhaling CBD and cannabis is so popular because the onset of effects is immediate, and as such it’s incredibly easy to control the dose. You take puff after puff until the desired level of relief is attained, and then go about your day. The only drawback to this method of ingestion is effects usually taper off after about 45 minutes to an hour, requiring consistent dosing throughout the day. Additionally, this method is anything but discreet - which may not matter if you’re at home or with close friends, but it’s unlikely to be acceptable at your place of employment or around family.   CBD Topicals And Rub-Ons Transdermal CBD application is perhaps the most novel way to self-administer CBD and other cannabinoids. The legalization of hemp and CBD products has seen an explosion in body care products like CBD-infused body washes, shampoos, lotions, and massage products. Our skin is the largest organ we possess, and it is incredibly permeable.   This fact is why we see people urging conscientiousness when choosing body care products, as all those unpronounceable chemicals in many products end up soaking through our pores and coursing through our bloodstream. The issue with these types of products is absorption is slow, the dose in any given product is more often than not quite low, and even then it’s quite hard to know exactly how much you are absorbing, making dosing appropriately for your condition exceptionally challenging.   Perhaps the most intriguing item in this category of products is the transdermal CBD patch. It’s not all that different from a nicotine patch, except there’s no nicotine - only a time-released dose of CBD. Transdermal patches sometimes remain active for over two days, making these great for people with severe pain or other chronic illnesses that would otherwise require chronic dosing.   Some older folks that are still rooted in the mindset of reefer madness that was fed to America for so many years may feel uncomfortable vaping, smoking, or popping a CBD gummy bear - a transdermal CBD patch may provide a professional, pharmaceutical seeming product that they are more comfortable using.   Additionally, the long duration of effects gives it a ‘set it and forget it’ quality that makes it ideal for long trips where bringing other CBD products and continually redosing may not be possible. As always, consult with your healthcare provider before embarking on any natural product regimen. Here’s to your health!   How to Use CBD Transdermals While the application of CBD topicals varies from product to product, most are fairly similar. Simply put, you'll want to use a small amount of a topical and rub it into a targeted area. For example, if you struggle with joint pain, you'll want to rub CBD lotion into the affected joint.   While there is no harm in putting large amounts of a topical in one area, it's in your best interest to use a small amount for two reasons. For one, you'll only need a small amount to feel the effects - this is especially true for CBD transdermals that are made with menthol. Secondly, the less of a CBD topical you use, the more you'll save over time. And, let's be honest, these products aren't cheap!   Frequently Asked Questions What is the most effective way to consume CBD oil? In order for you to garner full bioavailability, it's important to let the CBD oil rest under your tongue for 30 to 45 seconds. This will allow your body to absorb more of the oil quicker and provide you with more immediate effects.   Is consuming CBD oil safe? Yes! One of the benefits of CBD oil is the fact that it comes with little to no side effects. However, if you are either on prescription medication or are a woman who is pregnant and/or lactating, we highly suggest consulting a doctor before taking CBD as there may be safety concerns.   Do you get high when you consume CBD oil? No! Under federal law, all CBD products must contain less than 0.3% THC which is too small of an amount to cause psychoactivity. However, if you live in an area where recreational cannabis has been legalized, you may run into CBD products that contain a higher concentration of THC.

Amazon CBD Oil Restrictions | Guide | CBDNerds 2020

Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos is now worth $175 billion, and it’s not hard to see why. Do you know a single person who doesn’t use Amazon to make purchases? The online bookstore turned e-commerce behemoth has become as ubiquitous as smartphones and automobiles in industrialized nations. For consumers interested in trying CBD oil, Amazon is likely the first place they will look. Naturally, people are going to wonder if it is possible to obtain the best CBD oil on Amazon, so we are here to help answer this commonly asked question.   Can I buy CBD Oil on Amazon? Actual CBD is not sold on Amazon because it's illegal for Amazon to sell it. As a loophole, sellers will market "hemp oil" which does not fall under Amazon's policies on 'drugs and drug paraphernalia'. Although CBD is legal in the United States under the 2018 Farm Bill, it's still considered a regulated product.   If Amazon sells products that contain CBD, should you buy them? In short, no. Do not purchase Amazon CBD oil because it may not contain much CBD at all. Here’s why: it's against Amazon's policy to sell CBD oil all potential CBD is marketed as "Hemp Oil" or “Hemp oil Extract" products are not lab tested, meaning you can't see exact amounts of CBD or other cannabinoids (if any) you can't shop full-spectrum CBD on Amazon (which we recommend when purchasing CBD oil) When you look at the numerous CBD products for sale on Amazon, you will see a few things they all have in common. First, none of them mention anything about CBD; instead, you’ll see a lot of ‘hemp extract’ or ‘hemp seed oil’ being thrown around. Although CBD exists in hemp, hemp extract isn’t guaranteed to contain nor offer the benefits of CBD.   All this regulatory oversight of CBD oil hasn’t actually stopped people from selling what they claim is CBD oil on Amazon. However, the only way to do this is by jumping through loopholes with a lack of transparency in product labeling. Hemp is grown for a wide variety of things, including bio-fuel, clothing, rope, building materials, food, and paper because it is exceptionally nutrient-dense. Take a look at the breakdown from MedicalNewsToday of the seeds alone: 1 tbsp. of hemp seeds weighing 30g contains: 166 calories 9.47g protein 14.62g fat 2.6g carbohydrates (including 1.2g fiber and 0.45g sugar) 21mg calcium 2.38mg iron 210mg magnesium 495mg phosphorus 360mg potassium 2.97mg zinc 33mg folate  Hemp seeds also provide vitamin C, some B vitamins, and vitamins A and E.  Any product that contains any of these nutrients can legally claim to be ‘hemp extract.’ Basically, a product does not have to contain CBD to be called hemp extract.  That being said, by deciding to buy CBD oil on Amazon, you are burdening yourself with several tiresome steps to ensure what you are spending money on is indeed what you desire when you don't have to.    Are Hemp Oil and CBD oil the same thing? Both hemp oil and CBD oil come from cannabis plants and are regulated by the food and drug administration, but outside of that, they are very different products. Oil that comes from hemp is extracted from just the seeds of the cannabis sativa plant, while it’s high in antioxidants and fatty acids like omega-3 and omega-6, it doesn’t contain cannabidiol (CBD). This is not to say that this kind of oil doesn’t have its own advantages (it’s great for skincare), but overall, the health benefits differ greatly from CBD. The cannabis plant has over a hundred different cannabinoids, including cannabidiol, which has a multitude of benefits including relief from anxiety, inflammation, and pain. To produce CBD oil, the whole plant must be used during extraction, this includes the leaves, flowers, and stalk. The Downside to Amazon Selling “CBD” Oil When you purchase CBD oil on Amazon, you’re already dealing with a vendor who is comfortable with compromising their labeling to have their product reach a broader market. Also, you’re not going to have the amount of CBD (or other cannabinoids) clearly stated on the label - and knowing the dosage is important, especially for those hoping to treat more severe conditions such as Parkinson’s or Multiple Sclerosis. It’s also unlikely the best CBD oil for pain Amazon has to offer even includes the beneficial cannabinoids that provide relief. On top of that, you’ll have to dig much deeper to find out where they source their hemp for extraction and cross your fingers that it’s not from a region in China or India where pesticides and other toxins are used due to different regulations. Worse yet, don’t expect to see any Certificates of Analysis (CoA) that prove their CBD product is free from common contaminants like heavy metals, pesticides, residual solvents, and microbials.   If Not Amazon, Where Should I Buy CBD Oil Online? There are plenty of great resources to research CBD. You can look at CBD reviews from top brands to discover who sells what, whether or not their products are safe, and what actual customers say about them. You'll want to purchase from top CBD brands like Joy Organics or seed to sale companies like Charlotte's Web who solely focus on growing their own hemp and manufacturing their own CBD in the USA.  Avoid brands that make medical claims and avoid CBD that's derived from non-USA hemp. We recommend shopping full-spectrum rather than isolates.  To date, Amazon restricts the sale of CBD on its website due to its scheduling status with the federal government. Up until very recently, CBD remained a Schedule I drug, meaning it has a high potential for abuse and no recognized medical potential.  Recently, however, the DEA took the unprecedented step of lowering CBD to Schedule V. This is the first time anything cannabis-related has ever moved down from Schedule I since the program was introduced in 1970 after the Controlled Substances Act passed under then-President Richard Nixon. For context, heroin is considered a schedule 1 drug and cough syrup is a schedule V.   The bottom line is this: Do not buy CBD products on Amazon. There are plenty of legitimate brands that sell CBD directly to customers, saving you the hassle of accidentally buying oil derived from hemp when you are really looking for the relief offered by CBD.   Frequently Asked Questions Can you buy CBD oil on Amazon? It is illegal for Amazon to sell products containing cannabidiol (CBD). Instead what you will often find is hemp extract or hemp seed oil which is not the same as CBD oil. Amazon suppliers will sometimes advertise the health benefits of “hemp oil” as it relates to CBD, but be aware the claims only pertain to “full-spectrum extracts” not hemp seed oils. What’s the best-selling CBD oil on Amazon? Amazon is unable to sell actual CBD products, what you will find is “hemp oil” masquerading as CBD oil. However, if you are in the market for a hemp oil there are a variety of “best selling” options. Please note hemp oil is not CBD and does not have the same (or as many) benefits as CBD oil. If you are interested in trying hemp oil we suggest a brand like Ananda Hemp. Why can’t I find CBD oil on Amazon? It is illegal for Amazon to sell CBD oil including but not limited to: rich hemp oil containing CBD, and full-spectrum hemp oil containing CBD. Up until recently cannabidiol or CBD was classified as a schedule 1 controlled substance. It has since been reclassified as schedule V, but Amazon still prohibits the sale.

How CBD Oil is Revolutionizing Pain Care in Florida

Since November 2017, qualified patients in Florida can work with a state-certified medical marijuana doctor on a cannabis-based treatment plan for many conditions. Florida law generously allows those suffering from pain, chronic pain, anxiety, depression, and many more conditions to become approved for a medical marijuana card. In just one short year, more than 200,000 patients are now approved and taking marijuana-derived products for their symptoms.   In Florida, CBD oil is legal to buy in state-approved dispensaries by patients already approved by the Office of Medical Marijuana Use.  Now, since the Hemp Farm Bill became law, anyone can buy CBD oil anywhere, not just in a dispensary, and without being an approved patient.   Why CBD Oil Can Help in the Treatment of Opioid Abuse One of the largest advancements for patients in Florida comes by way of using CBD oil as a replacement medication for treating opioid abuse. The Sunshine State was hit particularly hard by the opioid epidemic and was even dubbed, “the pill mill state” in the mid-2000s. Statistically, Florida has one of the largest overdose rates in the nation.  Addicts, their families, local communities, and the state government are dealing with the backlash of lax pharmaceutical regulations, which have sadly led to prescription pill abuse. CBD oil has proven to work well as an alternative to opioid medications. It works to reduce the withdrawal symptoms that are associated with opioids, like pain, anxiety, and depression. Moreover, it helps maintain regular sleep patterns which contribute to positive overall health.  Additionally, it can balance many systems in the body to help regulate important functions and, it does all of this without intoxication or risk for addiction.   CBD Oil for Parkinson’s Disease According to leading neurologists in Florida who specialize in Parkinson’s disease treatments, CBD oil is helping patients in many ways. Cannabinoids offer some neuroprotective properties and antioxidant benefits that contribute to reduced symptoms, over time. CBD’s work in the endocannabinoid system where they interact with CB1 and CB2 receptors, which help regulate many systems in the body. The neuroprotective benefits from CBD’s significantly affect the areas of the brain associated with Parkinson’s and seem to reduce the violent shakes considerably, in many cases.   CBD Oil for Arthritis A more common use for CBD oil is for joint pain from inflammation due to arthritis. Cannabinoids (CBD) are an anti-inflammatory compound naturally and significantly helps reduce swelling. But, a more interesting component to CBD’s is how they regulate the body’s systems that cause the automatic response of swelling in the first place. When CBD oil is introduced externally, it provides a rapid regulatory effect that can dissipate swelling within days, if not hours.   Topical CBD oil works especially well for arthritis because it can be applied directly to the affected areas. This way, cannabidiol can be absorbed trans-dermally and enter the blood-stream more rapidly near the affected areas. Medical marijuana doctors in Florida recommend that patients with arthritis see a physician before using CBD oil since each patient’s symptoms are different and require specific dosages or products to effectively reduce their swelling.   CBD Oil for Multiple Sclerosis Many people who suffer from MS are prone to debilitating pain and weakness, along with muscle spasms that can last hours. Multiple sclerosis is a demyelinating disease where the myelin sheath, which is the covering of the brain and spinal cord, gets damaged. This damage disrupts the ability of parts of the nervous system to effectively communicate, which manifests in many symptoms.   Using CBD oil for MS symptoms is not mainstream yet; however, the fact that cannabinoids interact with and regulate systems responsible for brain functions is important to treating multiple sclerosis. More research is being conducted in 2019, specifically on how MS is affected by cannabinoids (CBD).   For now, physicians are incorporating CBD into their patients’ treatment plans to reduce and relieve their symptoms. Patients certainly benefit from CBD oil regulating their body’s functions and providing essential antioxidant compounds.   Conclusion There are many health benefits that cannabinoids (CBD) offer to patients suffering from illness. But, you don’t need to be diagnosed with a medical condition to get useful and measurable health gains with regular CBD dosing. Even someone in good health can have better sleep, less fatigue, more energy, and better overall health, by taking CBD oil. There is no risk for addiction and very little, if any, side effects from cannabidiol.   The best way to begin taking CBD’s is while under the supervision of a certified physician that has your specific health needs in mind. This way, you can optimize the best CBD oil products to fit the specific healthcare plan, set by a doctor, and monitored from the start.

3 Pieces Of CBD Research You Can't Ignore

Research into cannabidiol (CBD) began in the 20th century, with the discovery of the cannabinoid itself and later the endocannabinoid system (ECS) where it has a significant impact. These breakthroughs have provided the foundation for more in-depth studies in the past couple of decades, which have helped to paint a better picture of how CBD works in the body, and the compound’s potential as a therapeutic agent.   While hemp-derived wholesale CBD products are legal, and people are already happily taking them to self-medicate their ailments, scientific research is imperative for the legitimization of CBD as  mainstream medicine. Politicians, the media, and important bodies such as the World Health Organization (WHO) have already shown more receptiveness to CBD than psychoactive, THC-rich cannabis. Let’s put a focus on three important pieces of CBD research that have been carried out in recent times, but have perhaps not yet received the attention they deserve.   2018 survey shows why people are using CBD We know that there is a long list of reasons for taking CBD, and while some like to dismiss CBD products as a fad, the reality is that the compound can help with so much because of the endocannabinoid system’s (ECS) wide-ranging influence on the body. And now, thanks to a cross-sectional study by Jamie Corroon and Joy A. Phillips published in Cannabis and Cannabinoid Research, a peer-reviewed journal, we have a good idea of what people are using CBD for.   This, the first study of its kind, involved 2,409 American CBD users, who submitted an anonymous questionnaire. The results found that more than 60 percent were using products as an alternative medicine, 38 percent are taking them to improve general health and wellbeing. The survey also highlighted the broad appeal of CBD, with nearly 1,000 respondents stating that they were not regular cannabis users.   The leading reason for using CBD was to treat chronic pain, with nearly 30 percent selecting this option – although this could technically describe a number of conditions. Arthritis and joint pain came in second, with anxiety and depression at third and fourth. Allergies, nausea, Alzheimer’s disease, multiple sclerosis, migraines, and fibromyalgia came in lower down the list.   More than 900 respondents are taking their CBD sublingually with tincture oils, making it more popular than any other method. Sublingual absorption was closely followed by vaping and taking capsules.   CBD can help to treat anxiety Unfortunately, hardly anybody had heard about CBD back in 2011, when a ground-breaking study in Europe showcased the potential of this non-psychoactive cannabinoid to treat anxiety, and specifically public speaking anxiety, which is a form of social anxiety. However, with almost 20 percent of the adult American population affected by it each year, this research warrants our attention.   None of the 24 patients used in this investigation, which was featured in Neuropsychopharmacology, had any experience with anxiety medication, making them ideal candidates for the test. Half were administered a placebo treatment, while the other half got a 600mg dose of CBD in a capsule.   Following treatment, all participants took part in a simulated public speaking test, with their anticipatory speech and speech performance assessed – the former is the anxiety caused by an upcoming event, with the reading taken in the seconds leading up to the speech. The CBD helped to reduce anticipatory anxiety while promoting an improved speech performance.   The researchers suggested that CBD’s anxiolytic effects may be mediated in the serotonin system and not the ECS, at serotonin 1A receptors.   An introduction to Clinical Endocannabinoid Deficiency (CED) The identification of the ECS in the early 1990s has paved the way for research into the system itself. Since the turn of the millennium, a series of papers looking at the implications of a dysfunctional ECS have been published, authored by psychopharmacology researcher Dr. Ethan Russo.   Incredibly, these studies may have uncovered the root cause for both fibromyalgia and migraines, illnesses that have left scientists perplexed for decades. The ECS can only function well with optimum levels of endocannabinoids, and especially anandamide, a chemical that binds to both CB1 and CB2 receptors, regulating mood, pain, inflammation, and more.   When endocannabinoids are not present in the necessary amounts, the ECS becomes dysfunctional, with the patient suffering from a proposed condition called Clinical Endocannabinoid Deficiency (CED). Russo’s research has continuously highlighted the medicinal potential of CBD wholesale and whole-plant cannabis. In the 2016 update, the study suggested that natural solutions are preferable to synthetic drugs, which may be too forceful.

What Is CBD Isolate And How To Use It

Anyone who is interested in alternative supplements has likely heard about CBD in recent years, as this item has made quite a wave across the nation. From claims that CBD has helped to cure anxiety or dramatically reduce inflammation, those who have experienced its benefits are never going back to other treatments again.   Among the various options for using CBD is one that’s called CBD isolate powder. At first glance, this product may seem a little bit intimidating, and since it’s not quite as well-known as edibles or topicals, there could be a sense of hesitation in making this kind of purchase. Today we’re going to explore just exactly what CBD isolate powder is, how CBD isolate is made, and the ways you can use it to enhance your health and well-being.   What Are The Benefits of CBD? While the Food and Drug Administration has yet to release a statement confirming that CBD offers medical benefits, testimonials pour in left and right when it comes to this cannabis compound. Short for cannabidiol, CBD is a part of the cannabis plant that does not contain any psychoactive effects whatsoever. That means unlike THC, CBD won’t get you high and instead can bring about a host of potential benefits.   Many people who use CBD on a regular basis describe how it can help to reduce headaches or cramps, ease depression or anxiety, and more, but some medical professionals point to using this compound for more complex issues. Soothing the symptoms associated with Crohn’s disease, helping with opioid withdrawal, and even treating epilepsy are all medical concerns that can benefit from CBD use.   What Are CBD Isolates? Since cannabidiol can be utilized for so many different medical ailments, what is it about CBD isolate that makes it so special? A large portion of what differentiates various CBD products from each other has to do with the way they are processed, and these chemical conversions can truly impact just how effective the final version will be.   Using one of several extraction methods, industry experts will start with a cannabis strain that’s rich in CBD and essentially break it down to separate out the THC and other compounds that could lead to psychoactivity. When they are left with this concentrate, many stop, and market what’s left as wax or shatter. However, making CBD isolate requires another important step.     As the name would imply, CBD isolate is an incredibly pure form of CBD, as it’s isolated from all other elements found within the cannabis plant. In order to achieve this level of purity, a process called winterization is used to even further remove any additional waxes, terpenes, or trichomes. This final step involves cooling the substance but needs more time and effort than just placing it in the freezer for a few days. Your final result will be in the form of crystals, which can be used as is or crushed into a more versatile powder.   In all, the process of converting a cannabis plant into CBD isolate is highly complex and can be rather dangerous if proper methods aren’t utilized. While it might be tempting to experiment on your own and try to make CBD isolate at home, it’s recommended that you leave it to the professionals and purchase it instead.   Using CBD Isolate CBD isolate powder is odorless and tasteless, making it less than exciting to ingest. But with so many potential benefits that it can bring to one’s life, how exactly can you integrate it into your routine in a way that’s appealing? Your mindset is key, as using CBD isolate powder can help to bring therapeutic benefits to your life without you having to worry about any THC showing up on a drug test. In all reality though, there are some practical ways to use this amazing item.   If you’re short on time or simply not feeling very creative, you can easily place some powder under your tongue for about 60 seconds and let it dissolve. Since there’s no flavor associated with it, you likely won’t be opposed to this method. Blending CBD Isolate powder into your favorite beverages is also an easy option, as it can be incorporated into your morning coffee, tea, or blended into a superfood smoothie.   Those who are a bit more creative in the kitchen have turned to make their own sweetener by heating up honey or agave and mixing the powder in until it’s completely blended. This opens up your options and allows you to enjoy the benefits of CBD while eating toast, using it in your favorite recipes, or even just consuming a spoonful of it in the morning. Finally, blending CBD isolate powder with a carrier oil allows you to use it in a topical delivery method, offering the ability to rub it on aching muscles or painful joints.   Individuals who aren’t opposed to having some THC in their system may also choose to sprinkle CBD isolate powder on their joint before lighting up, and you can even mix it in with your flower if you prefer to vape. The combination of THC and CBD is often preferred by those who won’t be subject to drug tests, making this product one that can enhance your normal cannabis routine.   Consider What CBD Isolate Can Do Countless numbers of people have struggled with medical conditions for years and years without much relief, and even though pharmaceuticals are often prescribed for a range of issues, these drugs sometimes bring along unwanted side effects and can be very expensive. Under the guidance of your primary care physician, why not experiment with CBD isolates in general and see if it’s right for you?   While CBD isolate powder is one of the purest and most versatile CBD products on the market, it’s just one of many options that allow you to take advantage of this naturally derived item. From edibles and topicals to tinctures and more, cannabidiol is making major waves in the US market. Before long, we could see CBD isolate powder on grocery store shelves, but only you can determine just how effective this item is for your personal use.

CBD Shatter | What Is It And How Do You Use It?

With all the buzz surrounding CBD and its use as of late, you may have come across a variety of products available for sale online. From edibles and lotions to full spectrum CBD oils and more, the products you can obtain from a cannabis plant are nearly endless. But one item, in particular, CBD shatter, tends to create a fair amount of confusion among shoppers. Isn’t shatter known for getting you high? What is CBD shatter and how are people supposed to use it?   If these questions have crossed your mind before, you’re not alone. CBD shatter is a relatively sophisticated product, and knowing how it’s made and how it can be used will help you to better understand if it’s right for you. Before making any purchases online, stop shopping and keep reading to learn all there is to know about this form of CBD.   What Is CBD Shatter? Knowing whether CBD shatter is right for your specific needs requires a deeper understanding of what exactly this product is and how it’s made. In a general sense, CBD shatter is a form of concentrate and is one of the purest types available. The process of creating shatter of any kind, whether it’s THC rich or CBD infused, starts with an extraction method that’s best left to professionals. Through a series of steps using solvents like butane or CO2 extraction in a closed-loop system, cannabis flower is literally transformed into a white, powder-like substance.   If you were to leave this product as is, you would have pure CBD isolate on your hands. This alone is a great option for many who want to integrate the health benefits of CBD into their daily routine, but developing CBD shatter takes the extraction process one step further. Terpenes, which are often described as the essential oils of cannabis, are added to complete the process and allows CBD shatter to be exceptionally pure and effective. It's important to look for products that contain terpenes as they will help to enhance your overall experience and contribute to various flavor profiles.   Shatter is known for a clear and glass-like appearance, and this requires keeping it away from contaminants and even from being moved until it’s completely ready. The finished item is amber in color and should be somewhat see through. While many believe that the level of clarity is what determines the quality of CBD shatter, there are far more variables at play.   How To Use CBD Shatter Simply looking at a square of CBD shatter can be a bit intimidating - after all, it looks beautiful and it’s one of the purest forms of CBD concentrate out there, but what do you actually do with it? As lovely as it is, it’s not like candy and should not be eaten like a chocolate bar. Instead, you have a range of options when it comes to ways it can help.   In most cases, people use legal CBD shatter through either dabbing or vaping. Either of these methods will require some additional equipment like a dab pen, home dab rig, or vaporizer, and it’s highly recommended that you pay careful attention to your dose, especially the first time you enjoy it. Despite the fact that cannabidiol is a naturally derived substance and one of many cannabinoids that are organic to the hemp plant, too much CBD in one’s system could lead to some unpleasant side effects.   Some like to incorporate CBD shatter into their food, and while this is a perfectly viable option, keep in mind that high temperatures could potentially destroy some of the beneficial compounds it contains. Those new to cooking with CBD, in general, should take their time researching the best ways to use it so that they get the most out of the product.   CBD Shatter For Sale Any time you’re on the hunt for a new item it can be difficult to know which options are the best. Simply stepping into a dispensary to find the best CBD products can lead you to a wealth of choices, and it’s far more difficult to shop online when you don’t get the benefit of seeing something with your own eyes or have the option of consulting with a professional first.   One of the most important things to keep in mind is that CBD shatter is an incredibly pure product, so for health-conscious individuals who want to integrate it into their lives, it’s probably the best choice out there. The manufacturing process strips out impurities and leaves a clean and potent product to deliver pain relief, help with anxiety, and more. As there are multiple steps involved, CBD shatter will typically cost you a bit more than your favorite bud.   Make sure to look for testing data as well before you make a purchase of legal CBD shatter because as we’ve discussed, simply looking at how clear it is isn’t always the best indication of its quality. Instead, the terpene profile and potency of the product will speak volumes about how effective it may be, allowing you to make an educated purchase based on facts rather than only visual judgments.   If you’re still not sure where to look when it comes to high-quality CBD shatter for sale, we’ve found a brand that’s head and shoulders above the rest. Steve’s Goods, based in Colorado, uses only the best hemp around and focuses solely on CBD products, so you can rest assured that you won’t have any THC surprising you on your next drug test at work.   While they offer tinctures, edibles, and more, their CBD shatter is exceptional and allows you to experience some of your favorite psychedelic strains like Pineapple Express without having to worry about getting high. Instead, you’ll enjoy therapeutic benefits thanks to their high-quality cannabis concentrates. When you’re ready to make a purchase from Steve’s Goods, click here for discounts and coupons. They even have vape pen supplies that are great for beginners.   Is CBD Shatter For You? The world of CBD products is one that’s truly worth exploring, as countless numbers of people around the world have used this compound to help with a range of medical concerns. Although the efficacy of CBD shatter, along with hemp oil, budder, and a range of other CBD products, cannot be guaranteed, purchasing some from a reputable company like Steve’s Goods could bring you the potential for immense benefits.   Try using CBD shatter on a regular basis to help with chronic conditions or simply to impart a greater sense of health and wellness into your life, but remember to always consult with your physician first.

CBD Oil for Cancer

Research over the last decade of cannabidiol (CBD) and cancer has been promising. Though we can’t make any specific claims, we can say there’s a probability CBD may just be the next medication from those suffering from this incurable disease. Due to the prohibition of cannabis plants in the United States at the federal level, research remains in the early stages. In order for any FDA approval of cancer medication, researchers must continue to provide evidence that cannabidiol (and other cannabinoids) can make a large difference in comparison to current forms of treatment. The bad news is this is going to take a great deal of time. The good news is cannabidiol has shown a lot of promise for those suffering from cancer. Throughout this article, we’re going to explore how CBD oil (and hemp oil) can prevent cancer cells from spreading, can be used as therapy for those undergoing chemotherapy, and the potential side effects a cancer patient may feel. We invite you to ask further questions at the end.   CBD Oil as Prevention for Cancer Spread Since there are so many different types of cancer, including lung cancer, prostate cancer and many others, research concerning CBD has only looked into a handful. Yet, is quite astonishing. A 2015 study sought to find the correspondence between cannabis use and bladder cancer. Though a few factors needed to be adjusted, it was found that those who used cannabis had a 45% less risk of having bladder cancer.¹ It’s important to note that this study looked into medical marijuana users rather than CBD itself. Though most CBD products are derived from the cannabis sativa plant hemp, it’s just as worthy to note that most medical marijuana contains some level of cannabidiol within it.² In a separate study published by the California Pacific Medical Center, CBD was discovered to prevent a specific gene that causes breast cancer to develop. Similar, CBD was also found to inhibit ID-1. This prevented cancer cells from spreading throughout the body.³   So, Does CBD Treat Cancer? Though researchers have said various cannabinoids MIGHT be able to treat cancer, research as a whole is still in the very early stages.? While it seems cannabidiol can influence tumor cells and prevent tumor growth, we still don’t entirely understand how CBD oil and cancer work together. Yes, there’s a lot of promise, but without the proper research, the FDA will not approve cannabidiol as cancer medication.   CBD Oil as Therapy for Cancer Patients Still, other research has found that CBD oil might help within those facing various symptoms associated with cancer.  Leaving some researchers to believe CBD may be a form of cancer therapy. These symptoms are often caused by chemotherapy, one of the few approved treatments for cancer. These symptoms include: Loss of Appetite You may notice people with cancer tend to lose a lot of weight as the disease spreads through them. This is due to current forms of treatment causing a great deal of nausea and, in turn, a lack of appetite. While there isn’t any current evidence suggesting CBD alone can stimulate appetite, it has been found that tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) with the help of other cannabinoids can do so.?   Nausea As mentioned, cancer treatment tends to bring upon nausea and vomiting. Various cannabinoids have been found to reduce these effects in people, including CBD. This is prominently due to the fact that nausea and vomiting are regulated by our endocannabinoid system. And CBD has the ability to indirectly level out this system when it’s producing too much of a specific chemical.? On a side note, medical cannabis containing THC has also been found to reduce nausea.   Pain Similarly to nausea, chronic pain is also regulated by CB1 and CB2 receptors found within our endocannabinoid system. Both of these are responsible for different kinds of pain. For example, CB2 receptors spread inflammation when foreign substances enter the body. Since CBD indirectly influences CB2 receptors, researchers believe it might provide pain relief from the unhealthy spread of inflammation through various diseases, including cancer.? However, it should be noted, cancer causes a variety of pains CBD might not be able to help with. These include nerve injury and pressure on internal organs. On the other hand, THC is believed to potentially help with pain caused by nerve injury.   It's important to mention, CBD can weaken the immune system and, in effect, be more detrimental to certain individuals rather than beneficial. Similarly to cancer prevention, it’s still too early to make any claims on cannabidiol's effects of the symptoms caused by cancer treatment. While more clinical trials need to be done, there’s a lot of promise here.   Potential Side Effects of CBD Oil One of the biggest advantages of looking into this research further is CBD comes with few side effects. Unlike traditional forms of medications, such as opioids, CBD doesn’t have a similar influence on the central nervous system. Still, since cannabinoid receptors are found all throughout the body, it does affect various organs and tissues, including the brain. Some people are also sensitive to cannabidiol and, in effect, might have side effects others don’t. Common side effects for CBD include:¹?   Low blood pressure (hypotension) Muscle relaxation Rapid heartbeat (tachycardia) Reduced digestion Though a tolerance to CBD can be built, there is luckily little to no risk for addiction.   Final Thoughts Until science pursues further research into cannabidiol, we won’t have any definite answers as to whether or not CBD can be a potential treatment (or have potential health benefits) for those with cancer. From the evidence mentioned throughout this article, it seems as though CBD (along with other cannabinoids and cannabis products) may one day compliment current treatment of cancer and treatment for other medical conditions. If you or a loved one is currently suffering from cancer, we suggest you consult your doctor or health care professional before taking CBD or medical marijuana. As mentioned, cannabidiol can have side effects in certain people. In sensitive individuals, use of cannabis containing THC will potentially cause unwanted psychoactive effects due to the effects of THC. Furthermore, CBD or THC might have negative interactions with other types of medication.  If you have any further questions concerning CBD and cancer, we invite you to ask them below.   Reference Sources ¹ PubMed: Association between cannabis use and the risk of bladder cancer ² NCCIH: Marijuana and Cannabinoids ³ Molecular Cancer Therapeutics: Cannabidiol as a novel inhibitor of Id-1 gene expression in aggressive breast cancer cells ? CBD Oil for Weight Loss

Cannabidiol (CBD) has been drawing a lot of attention within both the natural health and medical world. CBD is a cannabinoid found in the cannabis plant that doesn’t produce psychoactivity (a “high”) when ingested. Though much research still needs to be done, many have found CBD oil to help with a number of medical conditions.   With that, some have raised the question, can CBD oil help with weight loss and/or decrease the chance of medical conditions associated with body weight, such as diabetes?   Throughout this article, we’re going to look into whether or not CBD can help with you lose weight. At the end, we invite you to ask further questions.   Losing Weight with CBD Oil In order to understand how CBD oil and weight loss works, we must first understand how CBD works within the body. Within our bodies is something known as the endocannabinoid system.¹ This is built up of numerous compounds, including two cannabinoid (CB) receptors:²   CB1 Receptor - Most abundant within the brain (particularly, the hypothalamus, hippocampus, and amygdala), central nervous system (CNS), connective tissue, intestines, and the testis/ovaries. It’s responsible for regulating our moods and blood pressure.   CB2 Receptor - Most abundant in our immune cells (particularly, B and T cells, macrophages, microglia, monocytes), spleen, tonsils, and thymus. It functions in numerous human diseases, including cancer, heart and kidney complications, and pain.   Within people who suffer from obesity, there’s a larger quantity of CB1 receptors. This is due to the fatty tissue developing more of the receptor.³ So, the more weight gain, the more CB 1 receptors spread.   This correspondence between CB receptors and weight diseases, such as obesity, has led some researchers to believe CBD oil might have the ability to help regulate weight. Though CBD doesn’t directly affect our endocannabinoid system (and our CB receptors), it does have a natural indirect effect on these cannabinoids.   This indirect effect may just be able to help people lose weight or aid them with other metabolic functions.   So, How Can CBD Affect Weight? Current research is too limited to make any guarantees concerning CBD oil and weight loss. Still, the following has been gathered as of this time:   CBD May Change Bad Fats into Good Fats When we burn calories - an important part of weight loss - we’re burning off brown fat cells. Though CBD can’t help us burn off these calories, a 2018 study found that cannabidiol might just turn white fat cells into brown fat cells.? Making the process of burning calories and body fat a bit easier.   CBD May Decrease Appetite It’s often assumed that cannabis will stimulate your appetite (or give you the "munchies"). This association is often a product of tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), the psychoactive cannabinoid found in marijuana. It is true that THC stimulates appetite by activating CB1 receptors.   However, as mentioned before, CBD doesn’t directly affect the endocannabinoid system. With that, some studies have revealed it may have an effect contrary to the popular assumption of cannabis and appetite.   In a 2018 study, it was found that CB1 receptor antagonists may actually decrease appetite and allow people to take better control of their weight. This is due to an agonists way of blocking off CB1 receptors.   Again, CBD doesn’t directly block off CB1 receptors. What it does do is inhibit other molecules within the body to block off these receptors. In turn, this could be a potential of reducing one’s appetite. Though more research needs to be done to make any confirmation, studies have found cannabidiol to reduce the appetite within rats.   CBD May Decrease Risk of Metabolic Disorders It understood that obesity is closely associated with various metabolic disorders, including high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and type 2 diabetes.   Recently, research has been looking into how these disorders may have a direct effect on the endocannabinoid system. Particularly, in the way, CB1 receptors are overactivated through fat tissues.   As we’ve already discussed, CBD will indirectly stop these CB1 receptors from spreading further. In effect, this may not only decrease the chances of obesity but metabolic disorders as well. Through animal research, it’s also been discovered that CBD may have strong anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects. If this is true, it could reduce the levels of blood sugar.     Weight Loss Requires More Than CBD Understandably, though the above research is promising, we’re some ways away from confirming that CBD can aid those trying to lose weight.   Still, though CBD may be a good complementary supplement to add to your current weight loss routine, it’s not the answer for you to lose weight. Without diet and exercise, there’s a good chance you won’t see any weight loss effects from cannabidiol itself.   If you want to give CBD oil a try, you may question what’s the right dosage. This is tricky to answer as everyone’s body works differently. Medical professionals will suggest you start small and slowly increase dosage until you get the response you desire.   If you plan on using CBD products alongside your standard weight loss treatment, it’s important you consult your doctor directly. Cannabidiol may negatively interact with other medications you’re currently taking.   Final Word On CBD Oil For Weight Loss CBD oil may just be a great complementary therapy for other weight loss treatment. Though it’s not the answer the losing weight or the diseases associated with obesity, it might have the ability to aid you in your weight loss journey.   If you have any further questions concerning CBD and weight loss, we invite you to ask them down below. What are CBD patches?

As the world of healthcare becomes more and more evolved, so do the ways that people choose to treat illnesses. Rather than always visiting a primary care physician, today’s American adult may opt for a wealth of other treatments that help to relieve certain symptoms and, in some cases, cure serious ailments. When it comes to the world of alternative medicinal options, many have opted to use CBD as a way to treat a range of health issues.   A part of the cannabis plant, CBD is a compound that’s non-psychoactive, unlike THC, and is used to address a wide spectrum of concerns including anxiety, menstrual cramps, insomnia, chronic pain, and more. Many have even found success using this cannabinoid for the treatment of seizures and epilepsy. In fact, in 2018, the Food and Drug Administration approved a drug called Epidiolex for the treatment of Dravet syndrome and Lennox-Gastaut syndrome, making it the first CBD drug on the market.   You don’t have to have a major illness to benefit from CBD use, however, and the ways in which people take advantage of its benefits are quite numerous. Some prefer to use CBD lotions and salves to enjoy targeted relief while others opt for a gummy that’s ingested right along with their other vitamins and supplements each morning. Still, some individuals enjoy taking CBD oil in a tincture form to allow for long-lasting relief.   However one of the newest CBD products on the market is the CBD patch, and it hasn’t gotten quite as much attention as some of the other ways of enjoying cannabidiol’s benefits. Let’s take a closer look at the CBD patch and learn exactly what it is and how it works.   Exploring The CBD Patch At first glance, the CBD patch may look like a giant Band-Aid and seem a little bit odd to some. While it’s certainly not as common as other ways of enjoying CBD’s benefits, there is a lot that can be gained from this delivery method. A CBD patch is considered a transdermal patch, and while using this idea for cannabidiol is new, the technology itself has been around for a long time.   The first transdermal patch was approved by the FDA in 1979 to help curb motion sickness, and since then, they have been used in a range of applications including birth control, hypertension medication, and maybe the most well-known, as an aid in quitting smoking through a nicotine patch. There are many types of patches on the market that work in varying ways, but the CBD patch comes in two different varieties: matrix and reservoir.   Before diving deep into these two types, it’s important to realize that CBD patches are completely painless and deliver cannabidiol into your bloodstream without the use of needles and without imparting any psychoactive effects. These patches work through the concept of concentration, meaning that the area of skin where the patch lives will have a great deal of CBD and will naturally want to spread it to surrounding areas. How exactly the compound is delivered though will vary.   Matrix Vs Reservoir With a matrix style CBD patch, you can imagine that the underside of the patch holds a literal matrix of cannabidiol, typically found within the adhesive. After the patch is applied, CBD moves from the adhesive to the skin it’s touching, and from there spreads to the rest of the body. As this process happens automatically, the matrix style patch makes it harder to control the flow of CBD into one’s system. Some individuals may find that they get too much CBD in one dose as the size of the patch and the amount of CBD in the matrix will vary.   The other type of CBD patch is known as a reservoir style, and as the name entails, it functions by keeping the cannabidiol in a pool of gel and allows it to be released through a rate-controlling membrane. This delivery method offers more exact dosing and has been used in other types of applications for over 40 years.   In either scenario, the patch offers an effective way of infusing CBD into the body without it having to pass through a range of other organs first. Because it doesn’t come into direct contact with the digestive system like an edible does or reach the lungs first if you were to vape, a CBD patch offers concentrated relief in a method that doesn’t require you to remember to dose multiple times every day.   More CBD Patch Benefits The use of CBD patches sounds pretty revolutionary, but do they actually measure up against other methods? If you’re looking for a way to dose that’s discrete, easy to use, and literally lets you forget about it for the day, then they’re the way to go. Most CBD patches are 2” by 2” and while it’s recommended that they are placed on a part of the body with a lot of blood vessels like the foot or wrist, they can be utilized somewhere that’s covered by your clothing.   Transdermal CBD patches take about 30 minutes to take effect, as they require a bit of warming by the body, but after the compound starts to enter your system, you’ll experience around 12 hours of continuous pain relief. CBD patches also come in a variety of strengths, allowing you to select the exact dosage that’s right for your specific needs. Rather than having to take smaller amounts of CBD through a tincture or vape throughout the day, you can put on a CBD patch in the morning and literally forget about it until you get ready for bed.   As the technology used to create CBD products continues to advance, there’s no doubt that the ways in which these patches are developed will result in a product that’s even more effective. If you’ve been struggling with any number of medical conditions and are looking for a plant-based alternative to traditional medicine, consider using a CBD patch. As always, it’s recommended that you consult with your physician before trying any new type of product or supplement just to make sure you don't experience any negative side effects.   Thanks to the CBD patch, more and more people are uncovering what it’s like to live pain-free without having to remember to reapply lotions or keep up with any type of dose schedule. For fast-acting and discrete relief, consider a CBD patch from your local dispensary or favorite online retailer today.

Does Smoking CBD Flower Have Benefits?

There are a variety of ways to consume cannabidiol (CBD), from tinctures to edibles. However, there’s one market of the CBD industry which isn’t too often discussed - smokables. Some people have opted to smoke high-CBD hemp flower through the following methods: CBD Cigarette CBD Joint   But does it really work? The short answer is yes! Smoking cannabidiol will grant you the same effects as taking a drop of CBD oil or eating up a CBD gummy. However, smoking in itself might raise some red flags for some consumers considering the health hazards. Throughout this article, we’re going to discuss everything you need to know about smoking CBD.   What is CBD Flower? To begin, it’s important to note you’re not necessarily smoking cannabidiol itself. CBD is a molecule found in the cannabis plant. The hemp plant is notable as it contains high levels of CBD and low levels of other cannabinoids, such as tetrahydrocannabinol (THC).¹ When we say “smoke CBD,” we’re really saying smoking hemp with high levels of CBD. CBD flower is simply the bud of a Cannabis Sativa (hemp) plant that is high in CBD. It differs from other CBD products as you get the benefits of all cannabinoids found in this flower.   You may have come across products (CBD oil, edibles, topical) that label themselves as whole-flower (or full-spectrum/whole-plant) CBD or CBD isolate.² Whole-Flower CBD makes use of all cannabinoids found within the CBD flower, whereas… CBD Isolate extracts cannabidiol itself and no other cannabinoid. CBD smokables all contain whole-flower CBD and, with that, come with benefits you won’t find in isolate CBD products.   What are the Benefits of Smoking CBD? When you smoke CBD, you’re not only receiving the benefits from cannabidiol. You’re also receiving benefits from a wide range of other cannabinoids. These cannabinoids include:³ Cannabichromine (CBC) - is believed to help with pain relief, promote healthy bone growth, and inhibit cell growth. Cannabidiol (CBD) - takes up almost 50% of cannabinoids within the flower and is believed to have numerous health benefits - from relieving anxiety and pain to alleviating seizures and convulsions. Cannabidiolic acid (CBDA) - is believed to inhibit cancer cell growth and reduce inflammation. Cannabigerol (CBG) - is believed to help those with sleep problems and slow bacterial growth. Cannabigerolic acid (CBGA) - is believed to help alleviate chronic pain and reduce inflammation. Tetrahydrocannabinol (Δ9-THC and Δ8-THC) - is believed to alleviate nausea, vomiting, and pain while stimulating the appetite. Note: this is the cannabinoid responsible for the psychoactive effects in marijuana. Tetrahydrocannabinolic acid (Δ9-THCA) - is believed to aid in sleep and suppress muscle spasms. Tetrahydrocannabivarin (THCV) - is believed to alleviate convulsions and seizures and promote healthy bone growth. Of course, cannabidiol in and of itself is believed to have the most health benefits when it comes to the spectrum of cannabinoids. However, it can’t be denied that receiving all cannabinoids attached to CBD hemp flower is most likely more beneficial in comparison to just CBD. Still, it should be noted, CBD and other cannabinoids have been known to cause minor side effects in some individuals.   Can Smoking CBD Flower Help People Quitting Tobacco? Unfortunately, as of this time, there is no conclusive evidence suggesting smoking CBD flower will help those trying to quit tobacco. Still, just because the evidence isn’t conclusive doesn’t mean it’s not promising.  In a study published by Addiction journal, two groups of cigarette smokers were given either CBD or a placebo. Those who received the CBD decreased their tobacco smoking by 40% while the placebo made no change.? When you quit nicotine, you naturally go through withdrawals. This is the process of your brain and body learning to return to its natural state without the assistance of the chemical. This process is extremely uncomfortable and one of the main reasons people have so much trouble quitting. Due to its therapeutic abilities, some researchers believe you can use CBD as a complementary treatment option for those looking to quit nicotine and other addictive substances.? Not to mention, smoking cannabidiol has the ability to replicate the cigarette smoking experience.   What is a CBD Joint and What is a CBD Pre-Roll? The terms “joint” and “pre-roll” are often attached to the marijuana industry and, in effect, may turn off some people seeking out CBD. However, you can rest assure, a CBD joint or a CBD pre-roll will not get you high and is federally legal (as long as its THC content is less than 0.3%). A CBD joint or pre-roll is simply the CBD hemp flower already rolled into a paper upon purchase, ready for you to smoke. It’s quite similar to a CBD cigarette, the only difference usually being the filter. A CBD joint or pre-roll might have an open filtration while a cigarette will probably have a cotton filter.   Where Can I Buy CBD Joints? There are currently a number of places you can purchase CBD joints, pre-rolls, or cigarettes. And with more companies joining the CBD industry, these options are likely to expand.  Depending on where you live, you may be able to find these products in a store. For example, in states where recreational marijuana is legal, you might be able to walk into a dispensary and find CBD hemp flower smokables. The same can be said for states where medical marijuana is legal, however, you’ll need a medical marijuana card in order to enter. In certain places like California and Colorado, some smoke shops (i.e. cigar, tobacco, or vape shops) might also carry CBD joints. However, this all depends on the smoke shop itself and whether or not they carry cannabis products. Here are some additional helpful resources.  If you can’t find any products in-person, you can always look online. Some of our favorite CBD joints include: Pure Relief offers a wide variety of CBD hemp flower on its website as well as pre-rolls and other goodies. For more information, feel free to check out their products page. Tryplainjane is unique as it offers hemp cigarettes that look identical to a pack of tobacco cigarettes. However, their products range from CBD hemp flower to pre-rolled joints and more. If you’d like to see more, check out their products page.   Reference Sources NCCIH: Marijuana and Cannabinoids Dialogues in clinical neuroscience: Cannabinoids in health and disease Dialogues in clinical neuroscience: Cannabis, cannabinoids, and health Addiction journal: Cannabidiol reverses attentional bias to cigarette cues in a human experimental model of tobacco withdrawal NIDA: The Biology and Potential Therapeutic Effects of Cannabidiol

When Is The Best Time Of Day To Take CBD?

When to Take CBD Oil Throughout the Day? Unless you’ve been living under a rock, there’s a good chance that cannabidiol (CBD) has made its way into your vernacular. Whether you’re open to trying new and alternative products or you stick strictly to the things your doctor prescribes, there’s no denying it - CBD use has grown exponentially as of late and is being hailed by many as a natural treatment for a ton of medical issues, such as anxiety, depression, and pain relief. But how are you supposed to know when to take CBD oil?   Some assume that CBD is very similar to marijuana, and while both do come from the hemp plant, there are some major differences between the two. Smoking, vaping, or ingesting weed imparts a set of psychoactive effects through a compound called tetrahydrocannabinol, or THC, and can be used for recreational or medicinal purposes. CBD, on the other hand, is an entirely separate compound that can offer benefits without getting you high. With that, the answer to the question "when to take CBD oil?" varies as people don't have to worry about psychoactivity.   If you’re interested in taking CBD, you’ve likely read up on the various products on the market, explored their pros and cons, and even figured out what kind of dose is right for you. One consideration that many don’t realize is exactly when to take CBD oil. Is there a better time of the day to enjoy its benefits? Let’s explore some of the considerations you should take when introducing cannabinoids into your life.   A Quick Rundown On CBD Before diving right in, let’s understand why anyone would even want to take CBD. Items will vary depending on what state you live in, but in general, people can enjoy CBD gummies, smoke it using a vape, and often consume CBD oil products either using a tincture or by blending it into their favorite food. It’s important to remember that the Food and Drug Administration has not approved cannabidiol to be sold alongside other supplements, and therefore the efficacy of various products cannot be guaranteed.   However, that doesn’t stop people from singing CBD’s praises, as testimony after testimony shows that integrating cannabidiol into one’s daily routine can provide a wealth of effects. It’s commonly used as a way to relieve chronic pain and inflammation and can address issues like cramps, headaches, and arthritis. Many find that a specific amount of CBD can reduce chronic stress and anxiety, while others with more serious medical conditions including seizures and even cancer have dubbed CBD as a cure-all.   CBD affects a natural part of the body called the endocannabinoid system (ECS) once it enters the bloodstream and actually causes a reaction that changes us on a cellular level. The brain is full of cannabinoid receptors and when a person enjoys any part of a cannabis plant, these sections work to produce a variety of effects. It’s this system itself that causes many people to believe that cannabis, in general, should be legalized and part of the health care system as our bodies are literally created to process it. Not to mention, CBD usage comes with little to no side effects.   How Long Does It Take For CBD Oil To Work? The initial effects of CBD and hemp oil hit people differently. Some feel it almost immediately while others claim it takes upwards of 15 minutes to truly kick in. The best way to figure out how long it takes for CBD oil to work is to take some yourself and pay close attention to the effects.   It's worth noting that effects will vary by the amount of CBD you take. You can check the strength of a CBD product by looking at the milligram (mg) count. The more mg of CBD labeled on a bottle, the less you'll need in order to feel the effects. To better understand your dosage of CBD, we suggest you do a bit of research and experimentation with your serving size. This information will also give you insight as to the best time of day to take CBD.   It’s All In The Timing Now that you’re totally sold on taking CBD each and every day, it’s only normal to question when exactly it will be the most beneficial. Many enjoy CBD coffee first thing in the morning while others use sublingual tinctures or topical creams throughout the day. Some point to taking cannabidiol every single day as a preventative measure but others simply wait until they are experiencing symptoms before treating them.   While it may sound like a little bit of a cop-out, there’s really only one answer when it comes to the question of when to take CBD oil - when it makes the most sense for you. A CBD gummy can easily be ingested alongside the rest of your vitamins when you wake up in the morning, making this an easy way to remember to take it regularly. If you tend to make yourself a breakfast smoothie and drink it on the way to work, blend some CBD hemp oil into it so you won’t forget to take it later. There are a range of products on the market with zero flavors, allowing you to add it to your drink and not even notice it. Hemp oil can also be mixed into yogurt or placed under the tongue using a dropper, offering a one-time dose that can help all day long.   Keep in mind that depending on the serving size, the effects of CBD can last between 4 and 12 hours, and just how strongly you feel its benefits will vary based upon your body composition and your method of consumption - for example, inhaling CBD through a vaporizer will kick in differently than using CBD isolate in your breakfast. Thinking about how long it will take for the benefits of CBD to kick in will likely aid in your decision-making process, and keep in mind that you may or may not need as much CBD as others.   Things To Consider Taking CBD whenever it works for you doesn’t only mean taking into account your daily routine, as you may find that certain times of the day make sense for other reasons. Everyone’s body is different, and for many, CBD offers an energizing effect and helps to provide additional motivation to take on the day’s tasks.   If this sounds like you, avoiding CBD at night should be one of your top priorities. Conversely, others notice they are very relaxed after ingesting cannabidiol, and so they tend to save this supplement as a part of their bedtime routine.   Not to mention, since many people are taking CBD for a particular ailment, you'll want to consider this condition into your dosage scheduling. Here are just a few examples:   When To Take CBD Oil For Anxiety Since symptoms of anxiety tend to appear when we least expect them, taking CBD oil for anxiety is a bit tricky. Some prefer taking it when an attack is coming on. Or, when they know potential triggers for symptoms anxiety will appear. This is a great option for those who can manage their anxiety but need the occasional helping hand.   However, if you find you're experiencing anxiety on a regular basis and have trouble reducing symptoms on your own, it may be more beneficial for you to take CBD in the morning as this will provide relief throughout the rest of your day. If you find the CBD wearing off, you can always take another dose mid-day.   When To Take CBD Oil For Weightlifting Or Exercising   If you’re a pretty athletic person or at the very least try to hit the gym a few times per week, you may also want to consider how this aspect of your life will affect your CBD schedule. Experts have studied the correlation between the two and have found that taking CBD either just before or directly after a workout can help reduce recovery time and increase bodily function while being active. Not to mention, it can provide a lot of post-workout pain relief.   Final Word So, when is the best time to take CBD oil?   Ultimately, there is no stock answer as every person will find their own benefits from experimenting with products, doses, and schedules. It’s crucial for anyone who is new to CBD to take the time and ingest their cannabidiol during various points in the day to determine what works best. As you develop a pattern and a routine, your body will become easily accustomed to this substance.   As always, it’s important to discuss CBD use with your primary care physician before starting any type of supplementation. While CBD products do come from natural sources, some individuals do experience side effects or have negative interactions with prescription medications and should proceed with caution. Once you’ve cleared it with your doctor, enjoy the range of options awaiting you!

What is CBD Distillate? Everything You Need to Know

Many people within the cannabis industry have claimed that CBD distillate is the future of cannabis as a whole. Yet, so many consumers remain unaware of what it is and how it works. This is understandable considering CBD distillate was just introduced only a few years ago. To put it simply, it’s an extraction process that works differently from current extraction techniques used within the market. And there’s a reason it’s catching so much attention.   Throughout this article, we’re going to review everything you need to know about CBD distillate. At the end, we invite you to ask further questions.   What is CBD Distillate? Distillation is an extraction process that requires two distinct steps:   1. Cleaning a type of liquid through a procedure of heating and cooling. 2. Pinpointing the most important traits of something (in our case, the CBD of the hemp plant) and extracting it.   One of the main reasons professionals have been looking into distillation in comparison to other extraction process is it provides the consumer with a purer and cleaner concentrate of CBD.¹ In effect, the CBD distilled is also more potent and can be better used for the potential medical benefits research is currently looking into.   Furthermore, through the cannabis distillation, professionals will have the ability to extract the purest forms of various cannabinoids, such as tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and cannabigerol (CBG). This is important for continuing medical research as each cannabinoid can help treat specific diseases or illnesses. For example, THC is better at curing nausea or vomiting in comparison to CBG.²  Therefore, with the right extraction process, doctors may be able to one day prescribe people with nausea a supplement solely containing THC, to offer them maximum relief and fewer side effects.   What Are Current CBD Extraction Methods? There are currently two forms of extraction common within the cannabis industry:³   1. Solvent - By using chemical liquids, such as butane or alcohol, and applying them to the cannabis plant, you can extract various cannabinoids, terpenes, and flavonoids. For the most part, solvents are used in the marijuana industry to create THC concentrates such as wax. 2. Pressure or Rising Extraction - By taking the cannabis plant’s matter, you can use pressure or rinsing extraction methods as a way to pinpoint specific cannabinoids and terpenes. For the most part, this extraction technique is used primarily in the hemp industry to create various CBD products on the market.   Unfortunately, both methods aren’t considered pure extraction methods for cannabis products. More often than not, they leave residual solvents or plant matter in the products purchased by the consumer. And though these aren’t very hazardous, they don’t offer the consumer the purest cannabinoid science can extract.   How Does CBD Distillate Work? Before we explain CBD distillate, it’s important to note that cannabidiol (CBD) is nothing more than a molecule found in the cannabis plant. Some consumers are misled to believe that a product of CBD oil (tinctures) are a liquid form of CBD. But no liquid form of CBD exists. Rather, CBD oil is an oil base with the CBD molecule placed in it.   The extraction process targets the molecule from the cannabis plant material. And in order to gain the purest CBD, extraction procedures must not only target and separate cannabidiol from other cannabinoids but also refine them.   The process of distillation for cannabinoids is as follows: 1. CBD is extracted using traditional solvent or solventless methods. 2. Contaminants of the cannabis concentrate are then extracted (such as fats or lipids). 3. The CBD is then extracted again with ethanol and placed in a freezing environment for 1 to 2 full days. This process is known as winterization and will rid the CBD of any remaining contaminants. 4. In the process of winterization, the ethanol will then be removed from the extract through a filtration method. 5. The extract then goes through a heating process known as decarboxylation. This is a vital stage as it activates the many therapeutic benefits CBD is known for. 6. The CBD will then enter a distillation or fractional distillation chamber numerous times for the sake of purifying the extract. 7. Once all is complete, the lab will have produced its final product: the purest molecule form of CBD which is a sappy product similar to honey.   It should be noted, not every distillation lab works the same and some have processes of their own which may not exactly match the one we mentioned above. Without proper regulations surrounding the cannabis industry, there is no current standard.   Frequently Asked Questions Concerning CBD Distillate Is there a difference between CBD isolate and CBD distillate? Yes! CBD isolate is 100% cannabidiol while CBD distillate contains around 80% cannabidiol and 20% of terpenes, other cannabinoids, and more.   What products are CBD distillates put in? Almost every product currently available on the market can contain CBD distillate. Most of the time, a company will have a lab that specializes in a specific extraction process, whether it be solvent, solventless, or distillate.   The final CBD molecule can then be placed into the following: Dabbing (mostly used for THC distillate) Edibles Oils Topicals  Vape juice   Are there any cons to CBD distillate? Unfortunately, there is one main concern surrounding CBD distillates. Through the extraction process, you may lose some terpenes or other cannabinoids that often work well with cannabidiol. If you want a CBD product that makes use of all the benefits in the hemp plant, you'll want to keep an eye out for full-spectrum products.   What are the pros of CBD Distillate? The biggest pro is through the distillation process, you’re receiving the purest form of CBD available on the market. With that, you’re also receiving the most potent CBD. To top it off, CBD distillate is one of the cleanest extraction methods. As mentioned, other extraction methods aren’t really hazardous to the consumer. However, those who use cannabidiol on a regular basis may want to seek out a company that uses a cleaner, more refined extraction method.   Your Questions Still have questions concerning CBD distillate? We invite you to ask them in the comments section below. Water Soluble CBD - The Complete Guide

Within the cannabidiol (CBD) market, there are a ton of different consumption methods. The most popular are CBD tinctures (or CBD oil), edibles, and CBD capsules. However, one technique is slowly gaining more traction. CBD beverages, or water-soluble CBD. Some experts even believe that the market for water-soluble cannabidiol will reach an astounding $260 million by 2020.¹ With such a big prediction, it’s surprising so many people still don’t know what water-soluble CBD is. Throughout this article, we’re going to teach you everything you need to know about the soon-to-be multimillion-dollar business. And how this business may have an impact on the cannabis industry as a whole.   What is Water Soluble CBD? To understand what is water soluble CBD, we must first understand how CBD works on the body. As most know, no matter what consumption method you use, the cannabinoid ends up in your blood system, indirectly effects your endocannabinoid system, and from there you feel the therapeutic effects.² But did you know CBD (along with other cannabinoids such as THC) is hydrophobic - meaning it doesn’t like water. This is a bit ironic considering our bodies are made up of around 60% water. In effect, when we take CBD oil (as an example), most of what goes into our body is simply thrown away. In fact, some experts believe the average person only obtains about 4% of the CBD they took.³ In other words, upwards of 96% of the cannabidiol you’re taking goes down the drain. It’s due to these unfortunate circumstances experts have looked into alternative forms of CBD. And one of those is water-soluble CBD. To put it simply, water-soluble CBD has more of an ability to mix and mingle with water rather than counteracting it. In turn, through water-soluble CBD, you’re getting much more cannabidiol with every dose you take.   How to Make Water Soluble CBD? In order to get water soluble CBD, CBD extract must go through a process known as nanotechnology. Similarly to how cannabidiol is just making its way into the medical world, so is this new form of technology. To take a complicated process and make it easy to understand, nanotechnology breaks down the molecule of CBD using soundwaves. Through this, professionals obtain a form of cannabidiol smaller than that of anything else on the market. When CBD is this size, it no longer maintains the structure necessary to break down with water. Since water molecules are of a similar size, the CBD will naturally blend together with them.   Does Water Soluble CBD Have Different Benefits? As we’ve discussed, one of the biggest benefits of water-soluble CBD is the fact that your body will process more of the molecule than if you were to take it through traditional forms. Though we can’t make any claims as of this time, this could lead to a different outlook in medicine. We don’t exactly know how well CBD works on the body (and how well it fights against diseases already researched) when the body absorbs more of it. Furthermore, it will change the CBD industry as a whole. Not only will there be more highly potent products, but it will allow consumers to have more of an ability to properly measure out doses. To top it off, you may find more CBD-infused beverages on the market. NOTE: Unfortunately, under the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), it’s currently federally illegal to mix CBD with food and beverages. Though there’s always hope the laws will change, it currently only allows hemp-extract (not isolated CBD) to be mixed in food and beverages.   Best Water Soluble CBD Oil There are currently a number of companies on the market already producing and selling water-soluble CBD products. One of the most popular is Kazmira for it doesn’t use oil-based emulsifiers. Unlike its competitors, the company strictly uses water-based CBD. They currently offer three unique products: Broad Spectrum CBD Isolate THC-Free Full Spectrum CBD Oil Water Soluble CBD As of this time, if you want to try pure water-soluble CBD (or a soluble product), Kazmira is your best bet. As mentioned, there are other companies currently on the market offering water-soluble CBD. But since these other companies use oil-based emulsifiers, their products aren’t quite as pure as that of Kazmira.   Is Water Soluble CBD a Revolutionary Step for the Cannabis Industry? “I’m one of the believers that the biggest opportunity in cannabis is to displace alcohol, but to provide cannabis consumption in a way that our society is used to, which is sitting down with a bottle or a glass and drinking and socializing,” Ronon Levy, chief strategy officer at Trait Biosciences told Cannabis Business Times. Levy makes an interesting point when it comes to how we as a society view cannabis. When it comes to marijuana, most people look at recreational use as lighting up a joint or bong. When it comes to cannabidiol, the practice is so new, many people are still unsure as to what to think. Though it’s not the biggest issue currently facing cannabis, there is a stigma brought upon it by prohibition which remains ingrained in our society. Just like any stigma, it’s going to take time and effort to erase it. And, as Levy brings up, one of the best ways to do so is to make products that are easily associable. Products such as beverages infused with CBD, THC, or other cannabinoids found in the cannabis plant.   Reference Sources 1 Business Insider: The market for marijuana-infused beverages could explode to $600 million in the next four years 2 MDPI: Quality Traits of “Cannabidiol Oils”: Cannabinoids Content, Terpene Fingerprint and Oxidation Stability of European Commercially Available Preparations 3 HHS Public Access: Human Cannabinoid Pharmacokinetics 4 Journal of Cutaneous and Aesthetic Surgery: Nanotechnology: The Future of Medicine 5 FDA: FDA Regulation of Cannabis and Cannabis-Derived Products 6 Cannabis Business Times: Building a Team in California’s Growing Cannabis Market

What is THC Free CBD Oil and Where Should You Buy It?

When shopping for the right CBD oil for you, you’re going to run across main companies claiming their cannabidiol (CBD) is “THC-free”. But what exactly does this mean and what’s the appeal for buyers. Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) is a phytocannabinoid - a cannabinoid found in the cannabis Sativa plant. It’s the main psychoactive chemical compound found in marijuana that’s responsible for making people feel “high”.¹   Since CBD is also a phytocannabinoid produced by the cannabis Sativa hemp plant, some new consumers worry cannabidiol will leave them feeling stoned. However, CBD is nonpsychoactive, meaning it won’t get you “high”. By claiming a product is “THC-free,” companies are assuring their potential buyers they won’t get high from taking their product.   And this is can be very attractive to the consumer many CBD oils contain hints amount of THC. Under the 2018 Farm Bill, all CBD products must contain levels of THC less than 0.3%.² Though that number is small and will not leave you feeling stoned, many consumers feel more comfortable simply purchasing a THC free CBD oil.   Will CBD Containing THC Get You High? It’s very unlikely you’ll get high from CBD oil containing less than 0.3% THC even though both cannabinoids come from the cannabis plant. That is, as long as you take the recommended dosage.   Some people will naturally need more CBD oil than others to feel its therapeutic effects.³ Since CBD oil is easy to measure, it’s important you take a dosage based on your body weight. For reference, you can use the chart below:     If you were to take a significant amount more than your recommended dosage with CBD oil containing less than 0.3% THC, there is a chance for psychoactive effects. For example, let’s say you weigh 86 to 150 lbs. Your highest recommended dosage is 18 mg and, therefore, you shouldn’t go past that. However, you most likely won’t feel psychoactive effects unless you were to take 10 times the amount, 180 mg.   That is unless you’re a sensitive individual. CBD works just like any other medication in the sense that it affects us all differently. For some individuals, even the recommended dosage of CBD oil can lead to the side effect of mild psychoactive effects.   For this reason, it may be in your best interest to seek out a company that provides THC-free CBD oil. But where do you look?   Best THC-Free CBD Oils The biggest issue with the CBD industry is it’s not regulated like other industries. Instead, you can take a CBD product containing so little THC, you won’t feel any psychoactive effects. We understand why people don’t want THC in their products which is why we’ve compiled this article. Seabedee Anxiety Bundle Review

When it comes to developing a high-quality product, Seabedee puts its customers first. Their goal is to offer everyone the natural therapeutic benefits of cannabidiol (CBD) at an affordable price. For this review, we’re going to look into their anxiety bundle - two CBD products meant to reduce symptoms of anxiety. Anxiety is a mental disorder that affects 1 in 5 Americans and is categorized by the following symptoms:¹   Difficulty concentrating Fatigue Feelings of worry and/or fear Irritability Muscle tension Restlessness Sleep problems (such as insomnia or sleeping too much)   visit www.seabedee.com   Recent research has found that CBD along with other cannabinoids has the potential to alleviate many of these symptoms. This is due to the way cannabidiol indirectly affects our endocannabinoid system (ECS).   When we consume CBD, our ECS is leveled out. Since our ECS has an influence on our mood, including anxious feelings, it’s believed that CBD is a natural way to diminish these feelings.² Throughout this article, we’re going to look into Seabedee’s anxiety bundle - two CBD products meant to help with anxiety symptoms. We’ll also discuss what makes Seabedee such a trustworthy company in this ever-expanding industry.   SEABEDEE’s Anxiety Bundle - What You Get For the price of $81.95 USD (this is currently a discounted price), you have the option between two bundled products:   SEABEDEE's Anxiety Blend Full Spectrum Oil (500mg) and Seabedee’s Sour Neon Gummy Bears (300mg)   SEABEDEE’s Anxiety Blend Full Spectrum Oil (500mg) and Seabedee’s Peach Rings (100mg)   The purpose of these combinations is to give you the ultimate anxiety relief. As Seabedee’s official website claims, their anxiety bundle is designed to:   Alleviate anxiety caused by stress Ease minor pain/inflammation Give you energy Potentially help with depression Provide you with a daily balance Regulate your mood Tranquilize (make you calm and relaxed)   In order to produce these effects, Seabedee adds both a proprietary terpene blend and an organic MCT oil - both of which have natural anxiety relieving properties of their own - to their anxiety blend.   The ingredients for both the Sour Neon Gummy Bears and Peach Rings are as follows: Corn syrup, sugar, gelatin, lactic acid, citric acid, pectin, malic acid, fumaric acid, coconut oil, premiums CBD, natural flavors, FD&c Yellow #5, FD&c Red #40, FD&c Yellow #6, FD&c Blue #1     All the products in this bundle are:   100% THC Free Dairy-free (vegan) Fat-free Gluten-free Low Sodium MSG free Peanut free Tree nut-free Contain no artificial sweetener   Overview of SEABEDEE Since the CBD industry remains unregulated, it’s important for consumers to find companies they can trust. SEABEDEE not only qualifies as one of these businesses but also provides their customers with a rewarding experience. The following is an overview of Seabedee as a whole and what you can expect when you purchase from them: Shopping Experience SEABEDEE offers both free standard shipping within the United States and 30-day unrestricted return policy. If you’re new to the CBD market, it’s important to understand that it’s not easy to come across a company that allows this much convenience to their customers. SEABEDEE is a company that puts its customers first. And this shows in their quality customer services. To top it all off, Seabedee has made it a mission to help others facing diseases cannabidiol may be able to help. They donate 3% of all their sales to the American Cancer Society on a regular basis with the hope of helping the organization discover a cure.   Third-Party Lab Testing One way to identify a reputable CBD company from an illegitimate one is to see whether or not they have their products tested in a third-party lab. This ensures an unbiased test result of their products that ensure the customer is getting the quality CBD they desire. SEABEDEE not only has their cannabidiol tested in a third-party lab but also lets you know the lab test results in every product description. This will give you information about your CBD, such as:   The cannabidiol potency The terpene profile Whether or not there’s a presence of harmful chemicals (i.e. pesticides, heavy metals)   Products and Quality One unique aspect of Seabedee that many other CBD companies are embracing is they provide a variety of products designed for different conditions. People from across the country are all looking into CBD for different reasons, such as anxiety or inflammation. Though cannabidiol itself can offer much relief to a variety of issues, it’s most effective when mixed with other natural products that also help. For example, when it comes to anxiety, both cannabidiol and terpenes work effectively. This is why Seabedee offers a few different bundle packages on their products page. To help ensure their customers are getting the exact relief their looking for. Furthermore, unlike other CBD products on the market, Seabedee’s edibles and oils don’t leave you with a powerful medicinal taste. Due to natural flavoring, the medicinal taste is subsided for earthier flavors.   For all veterans and those in active duty, it’s important to note Seabedee offers lifetime discounts.   Will Seabedee’s Anxiety Bundle Help With Your Anxiety? Though current research remains limited, most mental health professionals agree that CBD can help people alleviate symptoms brought upon by anxiety. However, it’s just as important to note that CBD and CBD products ARE NOT the cure for anxiety. The mental health community is beginning to look into CBD products as an alternative medication for traditional anxiety medication, such as Xanax. Not only is CBD a more organic choice, but it also comes with no risk of addiction.   If you decide to try Seabedee’s anxiety bundle, keep in mind that CBD should be viewed as nothing more than a complementary therapy. It’s vital you continue (or begin to) participate in traditional treatment methods, such as psychotherapy.³ With both the traditional treatment methods and this new form of medicine, you have a much better chance at overcoming anxiety than if you were to take CBD alone.   If you’re currently taking any kind of medication, it’s important to consult your doctor before taking CBD as it may interact with your medication.     Reference Sources ¹ NIMH: Anxiety Disorders ² Springer Neurotherapeutics: Cannabidiol as a Potential Treatment for Anxiety Disorders ³ Pharmacy and Therapeutics: Current Diagnosis and Treatment for Anxiety Disorders

[2020] The 7 Best CBD For Dogs Products

As cannabidiol (CBD) takes the alternative medicine community by storm, more and more people ask the question, is CBD oil good for my dog? CBD is a cannabinoid (chemical compound) found within the cannabis plant. It’s been attributed to a number of health benefits, including anti-inflammation and decreased anxiety. Unlike its fellow phytocannabinoid tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), CBD does NOT have psychoactive effects.¹   When it comes to CBD and dogs, owners trying to offer the best pet care are receiving a lot of misinformation through the internet. The purpose of this article is to help you identify how CBD will affect dogs and which products to keep an eye out for.   How Can CBD Help Your Dog? Unfortunately, as of this time, there have been no formal studies that look into the effects of CBD of canines. Still, scientists are aware that dogs have an endocannabinoid system (ECS) located in their central nervous system (CNS), just like humans. And when a dog takes CBD, it indirectly affects their ECS.² Due to this, dogs will receive similar health benefits of CBD, including (but not limited to):³   Anti-inflammatory Anti-nausea Appetite stimulation Cardiac benefits Chronic pain relief Inhibits cancer cell growth   Currently, the AKC Canine Health Foundation is attempting to research how the use of CBD may be able to treat dogs struggling with epilepsy.   Will Your Dog Experience Side Effects from CBD? Since no study has looked into CBD and dogs, there’s no conclusive evidence that CBD will create side effects in your canine. However, we do know of CBD’s side effects in humans. With that, you may run into these side effects when you give CBD to your furry friend:?   Dry Mouth - Science has discovered that CBD will reduce the amount of saliva one builds up. Within a dog, this may lead them to become thirstier.   Fatigue - CBD has been found to be a prominent anti-anxiety medication. However, these effects may also result in fatigue. Especially, if you’re giving your dog high doses of CBD.   Low Blood Pressure - When CBD is taken in high doses, it’s been found to reduce blood pressure for a short period of time. This reduction isn’t anything significant but may leave some sensitive dogs feeling light-headed.   Currently, there are no known risks when it comes to CBD and dog use. The only true risk you’ll run into is purchasing a product from an illegitimate company. Since the CBD industry isn’t currently regulated, some businesses have developed products that contain dangerous toxins.   Due to this, it’s very important you find a reputable company you can trust. In order to find a company you can truly trust, keep the following points in mind:   Make sure the company receives third-party testing. Only purchase liquid forms of CBD for your dog (i.e. CBD oil or tinctures). Don’t go for the cheapest prices. Always shop for an organic product.   Top 7 Dog-Friendly CBD Companies With a quick Google search, you’re going to run into a number of CBD dog-friendly products. 10 Best CBD Vape Oils, Pens and Juices

Vaping cannabidiol (CBD) is a popular option for cannabis/cigarette smokers and those seeking out new consumption methods. However, there are so many CBD vape products on the market, it can be difficult to tell which one is right for you. It can also be difficult as these both the CBD and vape industry are still in their early stages. It can’t be forgotten that nearly a decade ago, both barely existed. With that, laws and regulations still aren’t finalized. Therefore, it’s up to you to decide which products are right for you. Throughout this article, we’re going to explore all the ins and outs of CBD vaping to give you a comprehensive understanding of what to keep an eye out for. From there, we list 10 of our top favorites for the best CBD vape products.   How Does CBD Vaping Work Compared to Other Consumption Methods? If you’ve ever used an e-cigarette or Juul, you’re probably aware of how vaporization works. By taking a substance, turning it into a water-soluble, and applying heat to that soluble, you get a vapor which can be inhaled. Vaping works almost identically to tobacco water solubles. There are only two major differences:  Instead of receiving nicotine, you’ll receive the cannabinoid CBD which comes from the cannabis plant (or hemp plant) instead of the tobacco plant. CBD oil is hydrophobic which means it doesn’t like water.¹ Most CBD vape products are formulated to be water-compatible. In turn, they appear water-soluble. Vaping CBD works a bit differently in comparison to other consumption methods. Since you’re inhaling it into your lungs (rather than ingesting it or rubbing it on your skin), the cannabinoid will enter your bloodstream faster. In effect, this also makes the CBD 50% to 60% stronger as it doesn’t need to go through other areas of your body (such as your gut or liver).   Are All CBD Vape Oils the Same? As discussed, one of the biggest issues with CBD vaporizer is it’s hydrophobic and not a compatible molecule for e-liquid bases. This leaves those formulating CBD vape products in a sticky situation. In many regards, they’re fighting against chemistry in order to make these products available. Due to this, not all CBD vape oils are made in the same fashion. With that, it’s vital you look into a CBD vape product you plan to purchase - including the ingredients and how it was made in the laboratory. Unfortunately, and as we’ll discuss a bit later, since the vape and CBD industry are fairly unregulated, hazardous products are prone to placement on store shelves.   Will CBD Vape Oil Work in Your Vaporizer? If you’ve been vaping for some time, you’ve probably heard the terms propylene glycol (PG) and vegetable glycerin (VG).² To put it simply: Propylene glycol (PG) is a petroleum by-product that provides users with a “throat-hit” which is claimed to feel similar to smoking a cigarette. Vegetable glycerin (VG) is a natural chemical derived from vegetable oils (making it vegan-friendly). It offers a “thick” and smoother sensation on the throat and lungs. All CBD e-liquids are infused with vegetable glycerin (VG). However, since CBD tends to be oily, this comes with a few notable downsides. For one, the oily CBD layer can potentially separate from the vegetable glycerin and cause damage to your vaporizer tank - especially if your tank relies on a cotton wick that soaks up the liquid. Over time, the oily CBD layer will naturally dry up and harden wherever it’s left. So, if it’s been drying in your vape pen, it may make the tank unusable. Luckily, there are two ways to avoid this problem: Purchasing a tank with a ceramic heating element. Purchasing a liquid that’s completely homogenized. Furthermore, there are disposable vape products available that will completely eliminate this problem. The only downside to these is they’re not recyclable, cannot be refilled, and won’t work with all kinds of vape batteries.   What to Look Out For When it comes to CBD vape oil, the clearer the juice, the better it is. The cloudier the vape juice, the dirtier (and potentially filled with hazardous material) it is. Luckily, this is something anyone can spot. As soon as you pour your CBD e-liquid into a vape pen, you’ll be able to understand just how clean the product is. However, in such an unregulated industry, it’s important to keep an eye out for a couple of other potential hazards. You can do so by:   1.) Checking the Product Label Claims Don’t be fooled! A quick look at a products label claims DOES NOT guarantee the company is trustworthy. There are, unfortunately, many out there fooling consumers into thinking their CBD e-liquid is quality.³ Still, this doesn’t mean you shouldn’t look at the product’s label claims. In fact, we encourage you too. And, in order to confirm the company’s claims are legitimate, either ask for or seek out testing from a third party lab.    2.) Looking Into the Source of the CBD Another big issue amongst all CBD products is the source of the hemp the cannabidiol comes from. A reputable company will have this information easily available on their website. An illegitimate company may try to avoid providing their customers with this information.? You want to know the source of your CBD extract as other products of industrial hemp have had: Heavy metals Microbiological contamination Pesticides Residual solvents   None of the above are safe for consumption and may offset the benefits of CBD. NOTE: If you are currently taking any kind of medication, it’s important to consult your doctor before vaping CBD as cannabidiol may negatively interact with your medication.   11 Best CBD Vape Products Still, the above information shouldn’t undermine the fact that many CBD companies out there are putting their customers first and setting the foundation for this industry. We’ve compiled a list of our favorite pure CBD vape products - everything from CBD oils to pens to juices - to give you an idea of what CBD vape products are best for balancing out your endocannabinoid system. Best CBD Honey Sticks

Before CBD became a mainstream source of natural medicine, many people look at honey as one of the greatest gifts mother earth had offered us. The health benefits range from healing wounds to easing burns to even giving us energy.¹    This antibacterial and antiseptic material has been known for centuries as an all-natural remedy for a number of different pains and illnesses. Recently, people had gotten the idea to mix organic honey with CBD to provide you with the benefits of both substances. Throughout this article, we’re going to look into the new trend of CBD honey sticks and give you our picks for the best on the market.   What Are CBD Honey Sticks? Instead of calling it a honey stick, some people prefer to use the term “honey straw.” CBD honey sticks work identically to straws in the sense that all the substance is produced in a tube and requires you to suck it out.   The convenience of these honey sticks is their small and easy-to-use. Allowing for on-the-go CBD relief which may be more difficult (and less discrete) than CBD oil or CBD vape.   Furthermore, as already mentioned, the CBD honey stick offers consumers both properties of cannabidiol and honey. In effect, this not only offers a large range of health benefits but provides that sweet taste honey is known for. Many people use CBD honey sticks for the following: Hoping to lessen anxiety Hoping for anti-inflammatory benefits Adding calming effects to their cup of tea Increased focus Pain relief (sometimes, chronic pain) Re-establishing sleep patterns   It’s important to note that some consumers have reported to problems they have with CBD honey sticks:   Dry Mouth - Honey has a consistency that may leave people with a dry mouth or with heightened thirst. Less Effective - Some people have noted that CBD honey sticks don’t deliver as much CBD as other consumption methods (i.e. edibles, CBD tinctures). You can always solve this problem by consuming another honey stick, but this isn’t the most cost-effective solution.   It should also be noted that if you are currently on any medication (whether for a serious medical condition or not), it’s important to receive your doctor’s advice before taking a CBD honey stick as cannabinoids may interact with your medication.     How To Choose The Best CBD Honey Sticks We gave you our top 4 picks on who sells the best CBD Honey Sticks. It’s important to remember that CBD affects us all differently as we are all built differently. The basic rule of thumb is the more you weigh, the more CBD you’ll need in order to feel its effects. And vice versa.²   However, there are other factors to consider, such as your reasoning for taking it. Someone who’s trying to get a better night’s sleep may need more CBD than someone trying to relieve anxiety. A large part depends on you and your motive behind taking CBD.   In order to find the right dose for you, we suggest you start small and work your way up. This goes for all CBD products, anything from CBD gummies to hemp oil. To get a sense of where you should start, many experts say you should take 1 to 6 milligrams of CBD for every 10 pounds of body weight.³       Reference Sources ¹ Pharmacognosy Research: Honey and Health: A Review of Recent Clinical Research ² Cannabis and Cannabinoid Research: An Update on Safety and Side Effects of Cannabidiol ³ CBD Origin: What’s the Best CBD Dosage?

How To Grow Hemp - Beginners Guide

While hemp has been around for quite a lot of time now, growing hemp is the newest trend in the cannabis industry. Hemp refers to the cannabis plants that people grow solely for industrial purposes. Hemp produces fiber, paper, textiles, and even animal feed. Today, people are also growing hemp for recreational and medical reasons. So, if you want to start your hemp farm, here is all you need to know about how to grow hemp:     1.       Planting the hemp seeds: The hemp seeds need consistent and moderate weather to grow. So, the ideal weather to plant will be late spring when the temperature ranges from 16 degrees Celsius to 27 degrees Celsius. Moreover, you can check the temperature of the soil to make sure it is well above 10 degrees Celsius.   Once the temperature is right, the next step would be to check if the soil is healthy. To ascertain that, you can conduct a pH test with the paper test strips. If the pH level varies from 6 to 7.5 on the paper, the soil is healthy. Another important point that you must consider here is that hemp grows better in soils that have proper drainage. To test the soil, dig a hole and fill it up with water. And in case the water takes more than 1 hour to drain, start looking for another location.   Now you can start putting the seeds into the soil. Bury them deep to ensure the birds and pests cannot get to them. If you plan on harvesting the seeds, you might want to spread the seeds. It will help the plants to grow shorter due to branching out. But, if you are growing it for the fibers, sowing them apart will do the trick. If it seems to be too tiresome, you can always take help from a seed trill or a lawnmower. Here’s a cheap marijuana grow room setup how-to article to help you out in your quest for the best cannabis yield. Image Source   2.       Taking good care of the crops: Once you have sown the seeds, the next major task for you is to care for the plants. Put your finger into the soil till your knuckle and check the moisture level. If it feels dry, you can water the farm till the point that the water reaches at least 2 inches deep. During the initial 2 weeks of sowing, hemp needs water consistently to grow. Post that, they are resistant to drought and can go a few days without water.   Fertilizers are as important for hemp plants as it is for any other. But in the case of hemp, you must go for nitrogen-rich fertilizers. Once the seeds have germinated, you can out fertilizers only once, that too between the rows of plants and not on them directly. Do not forget to water the plants right after.   With hemp plants, the chances of weed growing into your farm are very less. To be sure, you can use herbicide on the hemp after germination. It will protect the hemp plants while they are still growing.     3.       Harvesting the fibers: Once the harvest is ready, get your sickle out and start collecting the stalks. Try to cut the stalks as close to the ground as possible to get the maximum fibers. If you have a large farm and larger crop, get a sickle bar attachment for your tractor to help you with the task. After you have all the stalks, pile them on top of each other and leave them in the open for at least 5 weeks. It will give them to rot, and the microbes will make sure that the stems separate from each other.   Once this process is over, your next step is to dry the stalks in a cool and dry area.  They need to be completely dry before harvesting, so make sure that the level of moisture in the stems is below 15%. If they are dry, you can get a decorticator to separate the fiber from the hemp stalks.   Image Source   4.       Collecting hemp seeds: If you aim to get the nutritious hemp seeds, check the seed pods which are present near the flowers. Once they are hard, most of the leaves of the plant will fall, and you can cut the seed pod off the stalk. After collecting all the pods, in a well-ventilated area, lay down a tarp and spread all the seeds on it. To get to the seeds, break the pods with a bat and gather them. Separate all the leaves and stems from the seeds, by either winnowing or renting an industrial winnower if you have a large crop. Lastly, put the seeds in an air-tight container and store them in a cool place.   Growing hemp is no easy feat, but by following the right steps you can get a good yield. Spring season is always a good time to sow so that hemp plants can flourish well during the summer. Before you begin farming, cross-check the laws for your state and country to see if it is even legal to grow hemp. Well, if you feel farming is too much of a hassle for you, you can try vaping, which is another ‘it’ trend of the cannabis industry.

The 7 Best CBD Chewing Gum Products Of [2020]

Have you been looking for a new, more discreet way to consume CBD? Then you might want to check out one of the biggest raves currently hitting the cannabidiol industry; CBD chewing gum.   CBD gum is unique because unlike edibles, your body doesn’t digest the cannabidiol. Instead, CBD is absorbed into your bloodstream by membranes from both your mouth and throat.   Throughout this article, we’re going to take a deeper look into CBD chewing gum and why you should give it a try. We’ll also list our top picks for the best CBD chewing gums currently on the market.   Why Try CBD Chewing Gum? CBD chewing gum may not be as ideal a consumption method as a CBD oil or CBD gummies. However, for some, it may just be what they’re looking for.   For one, chewing CBD gum is one of the quickest ways to receive the effects of CBD. This is because membranes within the mouth and throat directly send the cannabinoid into the bloodstream.   Take this in comparison to an edible that must be processed through the liver before the effects kick in. That can take anywhere from 10 to 15 minutes. A CBD topical takes even longer as the chemical compounds must first break through the skin - most of which don’t.   Besides inhalation methods (smoking or vaping), CBD chewing gums are probably the quickest way to receive the effects of CBD, which is ideal for people who experience anxiety or sudden pains.   However, to take things a step further, CBD chewing gum may just be the most discreet way to consume CBD. If you are in a position where you don’t want people knowing you’re taking a cannabis product, no one will think twice about that piece of gum in your mouth.   Not to mention, chewing CBD gum may have the potential to help:   Promote tranquility Support a better night’s sleep Support joint and muscle function Support post-workout recovery Maintain a relaxed mood Promote healthier skin   These are the main reasons to try CBD chewing gum. With that said, we at CBDNerds are always open to new and innovative ways to consume CBD. And we whole-heartily welcome this new consumption method.   What to Look Out For When Buying CBD Chewing Gum Whenever an innovative product hits the CBD market, a good amount of companies tend to hop on board with the trend. CBD chewing gum is no exception.   When such happens, there are a lot of positives that can come out of it. For example, one company may further innovate the new trend with different ingredients. However, there also could be negatives.   In the case of CBD chewing gum, one of the biggest is products being loaded with sugars and other harmful substances that can damage your gut microbiome. For this reason, we strongly encourage you to check out the ingredients before purchasing any CBD chewing gum.   But you don’t have to worry too much! We understand the headache extra research can bring and, for that reason, we’ve developed a list of our favorite CBD chewing gums. Each of these is diabetes-friendly and will have no long-term health consequences.   Keep in mind, these CBD chewing gums are listed in no particular order.   1.) If you think a CBD chewing gum is your preferred consumption method, then you’re going to want to check out Elevate’s Hemp Extract Gum.   Each piece only contains 5mg of full-spectrum hemp extract - the lowest on our list! This is the perfect amount for a newcomer as it isn’t overwhelming in strength, but will still provide you with some of the relief you’re looking for.   Not to mention, being as these are full-spectrum formulas, you’ll still receive all the benefits of the rich cannabinoids and terpenes found in the hemp plant.   Average Price: $14.49 to $24.99   Elevate’s Hemp Extract Gum Pros: Low dosage for newcomers Full-spectrum CBD Sugar-free Organic All-natural flavors and sweeteners   Elevate’s Hemp Extract Gum Cons: Low dosage may not appeal to those who use CBD regularly Certificate of analysis is only available upon request   6.)  MedCBDX - Best Antioxidant CBD Gum MedCBDX’s CBD infused chewing gum is more than just another way to consume cannabidiol. All their products use the industry-standard CO2 extraction method which is not only better for the environment but safer for our consumption.   Average Price: $19.99   MedCBDX’s CBD Infused Chewing Gum Pros: Sugar-free Crafted with natural sweeteners All-organic Delicious mint flavor 30-day money-back guarantee   MedCBDX’s CBD Infused Chewing Gum Cons: Free shipping is only available on purchases of $99 or more Certificate of analysis is only available upon request       7.) Hemp Foundry is truly ideal if you’re new to this industry or if you’ve been around for some time and have been trying to find a company you can come back to.   When it comes to their CBD gum, each piece is packed with 10mg of CBD which is about average when it comes to CBD-infused chewing gum. Each piece is also full of mint-flavor.   However, there are two important traits of Hemp Foundry that may make them an ideal choice for you. The first is their CBD chewing gum is 100% THC-free. CBD And Yoga - Does It Work?

CBD Yoga - for generations the world has been obsessed with the serenity of yoga but with recent advancements in cannabis legalization, weed and yoga might soon see the light of day. The advent of legal cannabis has provided us with the luxury of studying the plant under scrutinous clinical trials, helping us realize the full potential of medical utility found within the herb. Known as the nonpsychoactive miracle cannabinoid of marijuana, CBD has earned a high flying reputation for being able to curb anxiety and provide a vast array of therapeutic effects.    With CBD's therapeutic effects and yoga's ability to promote physical and mental wellbeing, it is plain to see that the two were meant to cross paths at one point or another.    Although CBD yoga may just seem like a bunch of hearsay, you can rest assured, the two enjoy a mutually synergistic relationship with one another. If you are curious about what CBD yoga has to offer, stay tuned!   Why CBD yoga? So many of us experience a degree of constant stress as we progress through our lives. From chasing career goals to maintaining personal relationships, the pressure can weigh heavily on our shoulders.    Not only does this constant pressure siphon our happiness away from the present moment, but it can also hamper productivity and efficiency. It can be hard to keep the pressure at bay, which is why so many yoga enthusiasts are now leaning towards combining CBD Oil Canada and yoga.   For many who are new to cannabis, CBD and yoga may not seem like the best dup.  In fact, the word "cannabis" may reintroduce some memories of those not-so-great tasting brownies that got you feeling funny.    Well, you can rest assured as CBD Oil Canada is one of the compounds of marijuana that won't get you high. Much like cannabis, the western world is gradually catching onto the benefits of yoga. Concrete evidence showing the advantages of yoga is slowly starting to form, and with it, the embrace of many newcomers.   Yoga in itself is valued for the various health benefits and the physical conditioning it provides. Those benefits could be anything from achieving lower blood pressure, reduced stress, improved coordination, flexibility, to even enhanced concentration and sleep. All of those benefits associated with yoga coupled with the strong therapeutic effects of CBD are a force to be reckoned with. As the saying goes, some things are just better together.   CBD Yoga - Health Benefits Combining CBD Oil Canada with yoga can provide a plethora of unrealized benefits. These advantages are also not only exclusive to physical health but also emotional and mental health. If you're aren't aware of what CBD is, it is a non-psychoactive cannabinoid found in the cannabis plant, meaning it does not provide any mind-altering effects.   As of late, CBD has been the subject of attention for many in the wellness community. Taking the spotlight away from many pharmaceuticals, hundreds of thousands of people are using CBD to help alleviate anxiety disorders, chronic pain, and even symptoms of depression.    CBD can be used to stabilize and regulate mood and emotion as well.  These claims are also not just hearsay from an over-zealous pothead. CBD's prowess in curing the incurable has been well documented and confirmed by several clinical trials for FDA approved medications.    CBD Yoga - Physical Health Advantages Praised for its ability to meld physical and mental disciplines harmoniously, yoga aims toward achieving a healthy mind in a healthy body. As a matter of fact, the inception of yoga was to attain a state of elevated levels of self-awareness, enlightenment, and mental acuity. However, modern specialists have since realized the ancient Indian practice's value of also honing physical strength and enhancing flexibility.  Cannabis may not have the best reputation in the world of health and fitness, but various studies have confirmed that regular cannabis users tend to have lower body mass indexes, smaller waistlines, and a reduced risk of diabetes and obesity. The studies also tell us the rates are approximately one third lower in cannabis users. Not only that, but CBD has the ability to increase levels of the pain regulating compound anandamide by suppressing the enzyme responsible for breaking it down. This translates to a reduction in the amount of pain felt in your body.   With yoga's ability to alleviate aches, and CBD's ability to reduce pain, the two can be stacked together for enhanced physical relief.   Emotional health - How CBD Works Aside from alleviating chronic pain, CBD provides the therapeutic benefits of cannabis, minus the psychoactive effects. As mentioned before, CBD has the ability to prevent the breakdown of anandamide, which also happens to be the neurotransmitter our brain releases when we experience a state of bliss.  Coupled with yoga, a discipline that helps to control an individual's mind, body, and soul, the combination may further enhance your body and mind's capability to reach a state of harmony and bliss.   CBD Yoga and Mental Health Endocannabinoids are said to be the bridge where the mind and body meet. CBD combined with yoga may be the practice we all need to regulate our emotions, subdue our anxiety, and stave off any influences of depression. With anxiety being a major detractor of our joy from the present moment, the anxiety-reducing effects of CBD coupled with the calm nature of yoga can lead to some fruitful results for the mind.   CBD has been established as an effective anti-depressant for its ability to substantially lower levels of the stress hormone cortisol. As psychological distress is a prevailing issue in the western world, CBD used in tandem with yoga may be able to help those who are suffering to take a step in the right direction. When used in tandem with yoga, a practice that is innately therapeutic, the mind-calming effects of CBD can help its users achieve a calm and clear state of mind.   DISCLAIMER: This is in no way intended to be professional medical advice. If you are suffering from any form of psychological distress, it is prudent to seek a trained medical professional or therapist as CBD yoga is not a replacement for professional help.   How to use CBD for yoga As with anything new, it is always better to err on the safe side of caution.  Play around with your dosages, pay attention to when you start to feel its effects and find your sweet spot.    Like any other supplement, it is essential to assess how the CBD affects your system before you enter your yoga session. Prior testing will help you figure out how your system handles CBD, allowing you to tweak your dosage to perform at peak capacity.  You can try experimenting with some CBD tinctures or gummies beforehand that are widely available at an Online Dispensary Canada. Doing so will provide you with the benefit of enhanced calmness and a higher pain threshold during your session.      Once you have completed your yoga for the day, try ending the working with some CBD infused creams and salves as they will help relieve you of any delayed onset muscle soreness, ensuring that you are adequately recovered for the next session.   Key Takeaways on CBD Yoga For good reason, yoga has been widely practiced around the world for generations. The fact that thousands of people use it as a method to help induce weight loss, stress relief, and strength gain speaks volumes of its effectiveness. Coupled with the concrete evidence of CBD's proficiency at handling a vast array of issues, in many ways CBD yoga offers us a way to kill two birds with one stone.

Cannabis & PTSD

Cannabis & PTSD: No Clear Answers, But CBD May Help Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is a mental health condition that some people may develop after witnessing or experiencing a traumatic or disturbing event. Symptoms include flashbacks, hypervigilance, avoiding reminders of the event, and negative feelings when remembering the event or experience.   There are treatments available for PTSD, including talk therapy and medication, among others. Not every treatment will work for everyone, however, and PTSD can be difficult to treat.   Many people with PTSD use cannabis to help cope with their symptoms. Recent research has investigated whether cannabis can help treat the symptoms of PTSD. The evidence is mixed, with some studies showing robust benefits and others showing no effect. There is also significant evidence showing that cannabis may worsen symptoms of PTSD, and associated outcomes.   When it comes to PTSD, not all cannabis-based medicine is the same. CBD-only or CBD-focused treatments appear to offer many benefits and relatively few risks for people with PTSD. Recently, several lines of evidence have emerged suggesting CBD may help with PTSD.   Despite the confusing state of cannabis and PTSD research, CBD shines through as a safe and effective alternative to THC for the treatment and management of PTSD.   No Clear Answers About THC-Based Cannabis and PTSD When it comes to cannabis as a treatment for PTSD, there is conflicting evidence. Some studies suggest a robust link between cannabis use and improved PTSD symptoms, while others suggest there is no effect. Still, others suggest potential negative effects of cannabis use on people with PTSD.   The confusion likely stems from the way the studies are designed. Most cannabis and PTSD studies are retrospective and typically rely on self-report. Such studies tend to recruit people who already use cannabis, rather than running a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial.   A clinical trial of cannabis for people with PTSD is currently underway, and the results should help clarify the nature of the relationship.   Some studies use biased samples, which may reduce the validity of the data. For example, a 2017 study found no effect of cannabis use on the symptoms of PTSD or the severity of substance abuse. However, the study examined people with co-occurring PTSD and substance use disorder, which may indicate that the participants had more severe PTSD in the first place.   The different results may also reflect differences in the composition of different cannabis strains people used.   Evidence Supporting the Use of Cannabis for PTSD Several recent studies and reviews suggest that cannabis may benefit people living with PTSD.   A 2019 study analyzed data from the 2012 Canadian Community Health Survey - Mental Health, which was administered to a representative sample of Canadians over 15 years old.   1.7% reported a diagnosis of PTSD, 28.2% of those used cannabis while only 11.2% of people without PTSD did.   PTSD was significantly associated with a recent episode of major depression, as well as suicidal ideation, but only among those who did not use cannabis. Among people with PTSD who did use cannabis, there was no such association.   The researchers concluded that the data suggest cannabis may reduce the association between PTSD and depressive episodes and suicidal ideation.   Another recent 2019 review concluded that cannabis shows promise for the treatment of PTSD:   “Present data show that cannabis and synthetic cannabinoids, both acting on the endocannabinoid system, may have potential therapeutic use for improving PTSD symptoms, e.g., reducing anxiety, modulating memory-related processes, and improving sleep.”   A 2009 study found that the synthetic cannabinoid Nabilone significantly reduced nightmares in 72% of participants with PTSD.   Risks of Cannabis for People with PTSD As with any medication or treatment, there are risks associated with cannabis use. In particular, the use of THC-containing cannabis carries with it mental health risks, like paranoia, anxiety, and in rare cases, psychosis. People with PTSD in particular “might be at greater risk for serious consequences if they have any adverse effects,” according to a 2017 review on cannabis and PTSD.   In addition to these general risks, there is also evidence suggesting cannabis may harm, rather than help, people with PTSD.   A 2015 study followed veterans seeking treatment for PTSD, evaluating them at intake and four months after discharge. The researchers classified the patients into four groups: those who had never used cannabis (“never users”), those who used cannabis when admitted but not upon discharge (“stoppers”), those who used cannabis both at admission and discharge (“continuing users”), and those who started using cannabis during the time between admission and discharge (“starters”).   The study found that cannabis use was associated with worse outcomes: increased symptom severity, violent behavior, and increased drug and alcohol use. Compared to starters and continuing users, stoppers and never users had significantly lower levels of PTSD symptoms.   However, these results may simply indicate that people who were worse off to begin with, or who were experiencing worse symptoms at the time, were more likely to use cannabis, rather than that the cannabis caused the negative outcomes.   CBD Offers a Safer Alternative There is mounting evidence suggesting that CBD can help treat PTSD. CBD may offer an effective alternative to THC in a population that is vulnerable to mental health risks. THC is psychoactive, and is known to carry a number of mental health risks, like anxiety and paranoia. CBD is non-intoxicating and does not carry these same risks.   Researchers are working to uncover the mechanisms behind how CBD may work to treat PTSD. A 2013 study found that CBD enhanced the process of fear memory extinction, which may help people forget their negative memories.   A 2019 study of PTSD patients found that CBD helped reduce the symptoms of PTSD when administered over an 8-week period, in addition to routine psychiatric care.   The study is limited because it only had 11 participants, and no control group. Of the 11 PTSD patients, 10 (91%) experienced a decrease in symptom severity.   Overall, CBD was well-tolerated, with no major side effects. The researchers noted that CBD worked particularly well for people suffering from nightmares.   A 2016 case report found that CBD reduced PTSD symptomatology in a child. The authors concluded that CBD oil was a safe and effective treatment.   Looking Toward the Future Current research on cannabis and PTSD is mixed, with some studies suggesting a benefit, some suggesting potential harm, and still others suggesting no effect. This is likely due to methodological challenges when studying the subject, as well as differences in the types of cannabis people use.   Regardless, there is good reason to be cautious when considering THC-containing cannabis medicine for people with PTSD, because of the potential mental health side effects.   CBD has shown promise as an effective, safer treatment for people with PTSD. It does not carry the same mental health risks as THC, yet it appears to improve the symptoms of PTSD.   Future research may reveal whether different combinations of THC and CBD could better treat the symptoms of PTSD than either one alone.
