Dutch Passion is one of the oldest cannabis seedbanks in the industry and, with that, they have a lot of knowledge of how to grow top-quality cannabis. They offer a versatile selection of cannabis strains alongside a lot of information concerning how to properly grow their seeds.
Established in Amsterdam back in 1987, the Dutch Passion Seed Company is now one of the world’s last remaining original seed banks. Also, one of the world’s oldest, they offer everything from world-famous cannabis seed strains to absolutely first-class customer service. Knowing what they have to offer, we were eager to try out some of the different seed strains Dutch Passion offers.
From feminized autoflower strains to regular strains that can be grown outdoors, we wanted to see how long it would take before we experience a gorgeous harvest. Let’s dive into our Dutch Passion review so you can find out what’s unique about the seed company, our experience with some of their products, Dutch Passion discount codes, and the pros and cons of their business.
Dutch Passion Seeds Review: Products
Like most seed companies, Dutch Passion has a tremendous selection of different cannabis seeds available. Whether you need to grow indoors, outdoors, with a greenhouse, in a very enclosed space, or any other situation, it’s likely Dutch Passion has the exact strain that will fit your needs. We were excited to try out a few different seeds to see how well the germination process went and if the strains could grow in as many conditions as the seed bank makes it seem.
What are Autoflower Cannabis Seeds?
A newer development in the world of cannabis seed breeding and cultivation, autofem seeds, or autoflowering feminized seeds, make the idea of growing much easier for beginners and pros alike. An autoflower strain crashes through the growth process in 10 to 13 weeks instead of 6 months like some regular strains require.
With such a short lifespan, one might wonder just how much one plant could produce. While autoflowering strains do produce short, small plants that don’t give the same massive yields a strain with a 6-month growth cycle might, autoflowering plants can still yield 50 to 100 grams per plant on average. Depending on the strain, some Dutch Passion customers of the past have reported 200+ gram yields.
Best grown indoors, autoflowering strains usually need a system for 20 light and 4 dark hours over a 10- to 13-week period depending on the strain. They’re easily some of the best sellers for Dutch Passion, and we were able to yield some tremendous results on our part. With the same CBD or THC content level as their longer-grow counterparts and the ability to get multiple crops a year makes autoflowering strains an easy option for both beginners and expert growers.
How Dutch Passion’s Seeds Remain Accurate
The CBD, THC, and other cannabinoids listed that each cannabis seed contains are accurate through Dutch Passion. They use state-of-the-art technology to measure the precise levels of cannabinoids in any given seed strain. They aim for stability in the resulting plants, so they maintain consistency with their product. They make it a top priority to stabilize their own F1 (first generation) cannabis seeds.
This is the biggest difference between Dutch Passion and other cannabis seed banks – they don’t carry copycats or F2 seeds as they can have too much variation in the harvest. Not skimping on quality, they don’t guarantee to be the cheapest option, but they do offer the most stable versions of the most well-known cannabis strains on the market.
