The term “Prana” translates to “the principle of life, breath, and vital energy sustaining the body.” This is exactly what Prana Principle seeks in their CBD products and they offer some of the most unique skincare items currently on the market.
Following the Prana Principle, they wanted to provide the highest quality CBD products on the market. Founded initially 25 years ago over in the Netherlands, they now innovate and cultivate in Colorado for the US production side of things. Offering authentic Colorado quality as a decorated, award-winning hemp brand, we’ve been looking forward to a review for Prana Principle for a while now. We’re going to finally share our experience with their products, what we found most unique about the brand, and everything else you need to know before you buy! There’s a nice array of different hemp-derived CBD products available on the Prana Principle web platform. We tried to get a fair spread of their products to be able to share our experience properly, so we’ll cover a variety of different CBD-infused products. As a side note, during the testing for this review they were out of stock on their four flavors of CBD water, so we didn’t get a chance to try those out. We’ll be sure to come back when they’re in stock again, as Prana Principle is bound to have other new products available before our next shopping experience with them.
Prana Principle is still releasing their line of CBD wraps and masks. As of now, they have a cellulose CBD-infused face mask available, as well as hand masks, foot masks, and CBD-infused relief wraps. Curious as to what the cellulose CBD face mask might do after routine use, we decided to snag that one. The 2-pack contained 20mg CBD overall, meant to be used 2 to 3 times a week (for optimal results). You’re supposed to put the mask on your face and leave it for 20 to 30 minutes. We found this a great time to relax, close our eyes and do some deep breathing or try to unwind after a long day. If you have time to do it in the morning instead, though, it leaves you feeling invigorated like you could take on the day, so it works perfectly for both situations.

While the skincare products in this category were already included in another, Prana Principles also offers a CBD-infused moisturizing face serum, eye serum, and a 150mg CBD lip balm. We tried out the lip balm this time around, but we’re eager to come back to try the face serum and eye serum too. Though it’s just a bit pricier than we might want, with the right online discounts it becomes an incredible deal – especially with how long the lip balms seem to last! Only 1fl oz, conservative but daily use of this stuff could still make it last you months.

Leading into other types of CBD skincare, there’s also a Prana Principles CBD Body Balm, as well as a soothing CBD, lavender, and melatonin infused sleep lotion, a moisturizing CBD body oil, and a cold therapy relief CBD cream that’s ideal for achy joints and sore muscles. To pair well with the lip balm, we went for the body balm; 500mg CBD in a 3oz container.
Packed with organic beeswax, MCT oil, lavender and eucalyptus oils, and a broad spectrum hemp oil, this body balm moisturizes dry skin and protects it from further dryness like no other moisturizer we’ve tried before. It does more than just moisturize until the area dries back out; for us, the balm has worked to heal those areas over time.

For the Prana Principle capsules available, they recommend taking one to two capsules by mouth with water every day. Consistent, routine use is the best way to achieve optimal results with any CBD product, so you’ll have to find how many capsules it takes to make you feel at your best and go from there. The same goes for their CBD tinctures, which are obviously different in nature. Instead of simply taking a capsule with water, you want to place a half dropper to a dropper under your tongue. They recommend 60 seconds, but we always go for at least 90 seconds for the most effective results. Once it’s absorbed for over a minute, swallow the rest. Good thing the Prana Principle tinctures have a cool, minty flavor!
The CBD and hemp brand is proud to offer extra strength broad spectrum CBD products that contain 0% THC. When we checked their web platform, though, we couldn’t seem to find any record of their results from third-party lab reports. As Prana Principle doesn’t have a chat support option, we couldn’t get in touch with them soon enough to inquire about lab reports. We did reach out to them through one of their social media platforms, so we hope to be able to update this when we get more answers. Until then, we do know that they do have everything third-party tested, and their Colorado facility follows all GMP procedures and protocols to ensure the highest quality of their products. You can tell when trying the products that quality is their number one concern, so we’re happy to take the extra step to reach out to them for their lab results.

I recently have been using the face serum and it works wonders. My face is Always moist and a little goes a long way. Also, I wanted to mention a recent discovery. Where I live is dry, my elbows started cracking and it was painful. I tried jojoba oil, coconut oil, Vaseline, and even witch hazel but nothing worked. After only 3 days of applying the serum....the cracking and the rash is COMPLETELY gone! I still can't believe it! I recommend this product one thousand percent! Thank you Prana Principles! Have been taking the CBD Hemp Oil Extract 25mg for a while now. Out of desperation due to C7-T1 Bulging disc with stenosis. Was popping 12 to 15 Ibuprofen a day. Last nerve block did not work. Really seems to be working. Pain has mostly subsided which allows me to work as a mtce. electrician in a steel mill and mountain bike without the pain I've been suffering with since mid November.
